Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I basically was interested in biology, humans and technology fascinated me so i chose this course to learn more about the technological world. They are good amount of talented professors in the college. All the professors are highly qualified and skilled ones. Every professors have their own teaching methods. Even though they have provided smarboards most of them still prefer the traditional way. To be honest very few professors are least bothered about teaching. Assignments comes in every week. Term exams are quite hard the average passing rate is 60 percent.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many reputed companies offer internship opportunities but still not all offer with stipend. Few companies only offer stipends. They are so many student projects done here. Almost all their projects were successful.

Placement Experience

4

Students typically become eligible from 7th semester for the placements. The list of company visiting varies. The highest and the average package depends on the industry. Typically the percentage of students getting placed is high

Fees and Financial Aid

The feels are comparatively high but cant complain because this university has a very good infrastructure and provides a lot and lot of opportunities to the students. You can work on a research project, provides internship and college even pays to piblush your research paper. They also provide scholarships based on your marks or any achievements. They are special scholarships for girls and people from low income family.

Campus Life

5

Tech tatva and revels are the biggest fest conducted in this university. These fest gives more exposure to students based on their interests. I would say this university has one of the biggest library which has all the need books, journals, ols question paper etc. They also have well infrastructed classrooms which has all essentials. This university has almost all major sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

Mine is a doubled shared room. They are so many types of rooms available and their cost depends on it. The food court and messes provide decent meals. I would rate 6 out of 10 for the food. Registration for hostel and everything is done through online. Manipal has some many PGs around.

Admission

The questions of the entrance exam was mediumly hard but it was similar to the JEE questions. The cutoff are generally high for top branches. Since they consider every branch importantly the other braches cutoffs was medium. All the admission, fee payments everything is done is online itself so we don't have to worry much about it.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)

I personally felt VIT is so crowded and they don’t provide as much internship opportunities.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a tech-enthusiast and chip designing is something i have been keen to know about and hence i went in for ECE Course. The curriculum is just same as the other engineering colleges. Detailed enough to pass the semester end exams. Teaching methods and the equipments need to be changed. Its high time. While other colleges are using well designed new technologies for lab experiments, ours is still stuck on the old methods which is very frustrating as we dont receive accurate results that affects our performance.
