JU: The Best Government College in West Bengal

I prefer Jadavpur University over other colleges as it provides better jobs,better ways for bigger achievements, world-wide connections through professors and chances to be part of great projects and ideas. To be honest I haven't applied for any other colleges through the admission process under WBJEE and got selected in Jadavpur in the first attempt. The admission process of Jadavpur Univesity is done through counselling under WBJEE board and based on the merit in basis of score got in the WBJEE exam. The cutoffs are usually high compared to other colleges in West Bengal and students can get admission only through the WBJEE exam. I only wrote the entrance exams at Jadavpur University in the departments of Comparative Literature, English, and Linguistics. I cracked the exams for both CL and Linguistics, and decided to take admission in the former. The admission process starts after filling up the form online with the interested course. The fees for the admission test takes 100 per subject and the reserved class enjoy the benefits of a lesser cut off and seats reserved. The exams happen to be after the board results are declared as the board marks are taken into consideration too. Admission here is done by WBJEE only. Interested candidates should give the exam and thereafter Counselling is done. Here is the list of category wise last rank to get a seat in Jadavpur University General - 5k OBCa -7k OBCb - 8.8k SC - 15k ST - 25k WBJEE application forms started (wbjee.nic) in the last week of December and ended upto 3Rd week of January.
