The faculty student ratio is about 1:60. The course is very well rounded and apart from core micro and macro economics, maths and other allied subjects relevant to jobs in this field are taught. The teachers are suitably qualified with most of them having Phd and post doctorate in their respective domains.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of our dept is very minimal and hence easily affordable by people from lower and middle classes. The fees typically remains the same over the years and a minimal 10% increase may be expected after 3 years. However the college still provides financial assistance for poor students. There are also many private scholarships available for students to avail.

There is a departmental fest called YESM typically held in January every year. Other than that there is a cultural fest called Sanskriti organised by the student union each year also typically towards January. There is a large field where students may play any sports of their choice given that they bring the equipment. Other than this there are numerous clubs where the student may participate in like mountaineering, painting, photography etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements at VBU especially for courses like BA IN JAPANESE are limited. Most students do not receive offers through campus recruitment. However, the course opens up oppurtunities in fields like translation, interpretation and working with Japanese Companies especially for those who clear JLPT N2 or N1. After completing my bachelor's I plan to pursue an MBA as combining language skills with management education offers a strong edge in the global job market.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

Also, our college has different facilities. There is a mess for the students. There is a library for the students so that they do not have any difficulty in studying. Which is very useful for us.

The salary during campus differs depending upon student and his/her skills. However overall salary offered here is satisfactory.
