Course Curriculum Overview

I have a passion in computer science and want to become a software engineer in the future so I choose computer science and engineering the students and teacher ratio is also good here and they all have a professional degree the exams were taken by the MAKAUT university

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The Course takes about four lakh rupees for four years course and in one year the course takes about one lakh per annum here the various scholarship you get if you eligible like the Swami Vivekanand and National scholarship Portal etc

Campus Life

There will be a fest which is going to be held every year in the month of March, availability of books is also available here in the library of skf various curricular activities are also available here like the football carromboard,cricket laso there is a club where students can join and elaborate

Any student having 60-65% of marks and have an qualified all India entrance examination JEE application form is available on the official website of skfgi yes here the TFW and other reservation is available overall good admission process

Life at IIT Kharagpur through the lens of an inquisitive student

Placement Experience:

IITs are known for their placements, and this is exactly where they shine as compared to other colleges. From 7th semester onwards, the placements begin and is conducted by the CDC (Career development centre) in two phases. The highest package was around 2.5 Cr, with the average being around 22 lpa. Top recruiting companies include Google, Microsoft, Optiver, other HFTs which accounted for most of the highest packages offered. Around 75% of the students got placed during the 2025-2026 placement season.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.

Placement Experience:

I have not yet reached the placement time because i am a fresher. But more than 1000 offers are made to students and placements are pretty good as i got to know from my seniors. The highest package from chemical branch was 75 lacs last year.
