Faculties are helpful You can ask any doubt any time they are always available
College is neat and clean Campus is greenery and looks good
All floor have washrooms and have big classrooms

Dislikes

Canteen is too small and their doesn’t seem to be hygienic
Classrooms are non Ac which make students really uncomfortable in summers
Some Faculties do speak in Bengali which can create communication gap for students which aren’t from Bengalis backgrounds

Course Curriculum Overview

Regarding examination the frequency is generally acceptable but the timing sometimes overlaps with project submission,creating unnecessary pressure. Exam duration is of 3hrs They should focus more on building projects which can be helpful for students Labs are modern and well equipped In terms of teaching methods a shift towards interactive learning,problem based assignments,hackathons and collaborative projects could make the learning experience more impactful. More emphasis on research and innovation at the undergraduate level could also encourage academic pursuits.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is 55000/- semester At the time of admission you have to pay 10k It provide swami Vivekananda scholarship for students who scored above 60% And kanyashree for girls under age 19 There is no reservation

Campus Life

Annual cultural fest are mostly held in February. The library is well equipped with vast collection text book,reference books,academic journals as well as electronics/digital material to support course work and research. Outdoor sports like basketball,football,volleyball with a tennis court and indoor games and activity session are also organised plus a regular annual sports day and various club competition

Admission

I got confirmed admission from nshm Durgapur I didn't choose that as it was far away from my home. I choose this college because it was affordable and offers many scholarships with well equipped labs. Students who scored above 60% are eligible to take admission

Faculty

Faculties are really helpful Minimum 40% marks is required to pass each subject Each semester have 4 CA exam which is of 25 marks Their is MAR point that you should have 25 every year For eg:-you participate in dance you will get 5 points

Night Life

To be honest there is no such hangout place. But some students walk to the nearby Chandannagar strand a tree shedded,river side area just a few minutes away. It's a popular evening spot for walk and conversations and it is considered safe and peaceful even after sunset. Hostels are located inside campus and provide 24/7 security. Campus in timing is 9:40

Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The placement statistics are off the charts, with 367 offers being made to 361 students in the recent edition. The student can seat for internshps offered by diffent companies that visit th campus in their pre-final year, while they are eligible to seat for the placements in their final year only. Apart from this there also other restrictions for seating in the placements like Cg should be above 8.5 and there should not have been any disciplinary charges against you, etc. The companies visiting the college also have their own preferences for selecting the students. In 2024-25 the highest CTC is nearly 2.5 crores p.a. offered to a student of CS branch. The EC department getting the most number of offers i.e. 73.

Honestly, this college wasn't my choice. My sister went to this college and my rank was very poor that's why I didn't have a choice. I went to the college with my scorecard and got direct admission without any donation. The placement records are alright for CSE (the course I opted for). Most students get 2.5lpa jobs which shouldn't be something that tempts you. So don't join this college. If your rank is poor, work hard this year and reappear next year and join a good better.
