- Canteen is too small and their doesn’t seem to be hygienic
- Classrooms are non Ac which make students really uncomfortable in summers
- Some Faculties do speak in Bengali which can create communication gap for students which aren’t from Bengalis backgrounds
Course Curriculum Overview
Regarding examination the frequency is generally acceptable but the timing sometimes overlaps with project submission,creating unnecessary pressure. Exam duration is of 3hrs They should focus more on building projects which can be helpful for students Labs are modern and well equipped In terms of teaching methods a shift towards interactive learning,problem based assignments,hackathons and collaborative projects could make the learning experience more impactful. More emphasis on research and innovation at the undergraduate level could also encourage academic pursuits.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee is 55000/- semester At the time of admission you have to pay 10k It provide swami Vivekananda scholarship for students who scored above 60% And kanyashree for girls under age 19 There is no reservation
Campus Life
Annual cultural fest are mostly held in February. The library is well equipped with vast collection text book,reference books,academic journals as well as electronics/digital material to support course work and research. Outdoor sports like basketball,football,volleyball with a tennis court and indoor games and activity session are also organised plus a regular annual sports day and various club competition
Admission
I got confirmed admission from nshm Durgapur I didn't choose that as it was far away from my home. I choose this college because it was affordable and offers many scholarships with well equipped labs. Students who scored above 60% are eligible to take admission
Faculty
Faculties are really helpful Minimum 40% marks is required to pass each subject Each semester have 4 CA exam which is of 25 marks Their is MAR point that you should have 25 every year For eg:-you participate in dance you will get 5 points
Night Life
To be honest there is no such hangout place. But some students walk to the nearby Chandannagar strand a tree shedded,river side area just a few minutes away. It's a popular evening spot for walk and conversations and it is considered safe and peaceful even after sunset. Hostels are located inside campus and provide 24/7 security. Campus in timing is 9:40
