Remarks

One has to clear wbjee and jee main examination to get admitted in this college. The admission process is conducted after the entrance examination. A particular cutt of is there to get admitted in this college around 16k-30k for the IT department. If you are thinking for a good and disciplined college, then you can surely for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had a keen interest in this subjects. So this was the best chance to deep dive into it. There are 8-9 faculty members are there. The faculty members are highly qualified like PhD, MSC, etc. Honestly speaking, only few teachers I like the most and others I just ignore. It depends on you which teachers you like and which not.

Placement Experience

Various companies come in this college. 2 years ago a student from EE department got an offline package of 1.2 Cr 8n Amazon Dubline as SDE. To seat in the placement process, a particular criteria is provided by the company which varies per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the last 2 years, the per semester fees has been increased about 20k-25k. But if you looking for a scholarship, and if you are from West bengal, then there are many scholarship that you can opt for like Swami Vivekananda's scholarship, west bengal student credit card loan etc.

Campus Life

The only disadvantage of this college is that there are no fests conducted in this college. Only farewell, freshers and sport events are conducted. The college has a badminton court, table tennis court and various computer labs.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
