DBE-Hidden GEM for MBA aspirants

Department of business economics offers MBA ( Business Econmoics ) with dual specialization . Students have to choose any two out of three (ANALYTICS, MARKETING, FINANCE) in their final year. That,s why i choose DBE over any other B-School because most of B-School offers specialization only in one are. With two options in specialization it would be easy to change or switch role in future if i want to change job role for any reason. Faculity to student ratio is 1:10 approx and department also have visiting / guest faculties for particular subjects. All the facultity members are Phd holders from top institution in country. Faculty here holds a vast experience in teaching with an average of 15 years. Teaching method is also great and as par to any good B-School.Teacher's are always open to change if required . MBA in DBE consists of 4 terms / Semester spread over two years.Exams here moderate to difficult in terms of difficulty level.

Companies like Arcesiusm, Dolat Capital, ICICI bank , Motherson sumi etc offers summer interships to students in various roles as per the firms need. the mean stipend id 25000 per month. The projects ranges from making MIS dashbords for firms to sales and the outcomes are networking apportunites, gaining industry insights and experiene along with the handsome salary and other perks.

Students from first year are elegible for summer internship while students from second year are elegible for final placements. Approx 20 companies visit for final placement and made offer to around 63 students.Comapny that visit DBE consists of firms like American Express, Barclays, EXL, RBL Bank, Fedral Bank, ICICI Bank, Axtria, Arcesium, Dolat Capital, Digit Insurance etc. The Highest Package offered is 24.25Lakh by American express and Barclays. The mean Package offered is 14.2 by RBL bank etc for role of Data analyst. Approx 96% of the students get placed in thier final year itself. My plan is to work as data analyst in starting and then gain experience in it and later i could move to entreprenureship or in other words i would try to start my own business if possible.

The fees for MBA programme is 48550 for a year . Fees it not something that's keep changing every year as DBE is part of Delhi University ,and in public universities fees does not change every year ,fees are usually revised after a period of time. Cost to Study is a subject to lifestyle you want to own during your MBA , so it could range from 5 to 8 lakh ruppes ,it includes your stay, food, travel expenses etc. It could be lowered down also so it completely changes and varies from person to person. Financial Assistance- Various assistance are provided to students by Delhi University , For OBC\EWS\SC\ST students whose family income is less than 4 lakhs DU provided scholarship upto 10000 per year and for people with family income between 4 lakh to 8 lakh are provided with Scholarship worth 7000 per year. And there are various scholarship that you could check out on Delhi University's portal

Fest/Events held from time to time since our department is not so big we usually organise events in Hotels twice a year. Usually events are organised in April and September every year. As DBE is part of South Campus of Delhi University , We have one of the largest library in country .Library equips a large number of books from authors across the globe. We also have access to e library and other online resouces. Most of journels are avialable in our library as south campus of various departments ranging from psycology to computer science to poltical science to mathamatics. Classrooms are well equiped with projectors and other amenities like speakers AC, fans etc. South Campus has huge ground's that consists of badmin court, Volley ball court , football ground, criket ground and also have green campus full of well mentained lawns where you can sit and relax and play simple games if you want to play. DBE also has various clubs ranging from marketing club to finance club to sports club

Eligibility- Any graduate candidate who has completed their Bachelors with minimum 50% score in graduation and Students who are in final year of their Bachelors are elegible to apply. All the candidate must have mathametics/business mathematics in thier 10+2 . Application Form :- Can be found on www.dbe-du.org/ Application fees-2000 (1000 for SC/ST/PC STUDENTS)for application in both programme that is MBA(Finance) and MBA(Business Economics) and 1200 (700 FOR SC/ST/PC STUDENTS) for application in any one programme. Application Dates:- Are usually from Last week of november to 1st week of January,(Might Change it is advised to visit website for latest updates) Improvements- I don't think is any issue in current admission process.Being a public university department ,things are quite good.
