Entrance Preview

I gave JEE MAINS 2013 and scored 235/360 being from haryana this college was the obvious choice for me also I was getting desired branch here.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Course curriculum is fine not much of burden and one can easily have spare time for sports, hobbies and extracurricular activities faculty is undoubtedly very well qualified and well experienced but still somewhere not that student friendly they are not that good at teaching and explaining things 75% attendance is must to just for the sake of attendance we need to attend classes.

Internships Opportunities

Lots of companies visit our campus for internship and select desired candidates stipend ranges from Rs 6000 to 20000 companies like L&T, Microsoft, CodeNation, ZO Rooms, Royal Bank of Scotland, Flipkart, Alstom etc visited the campus.

Placement Experience

3.5

The best part of being in NIT is placement undoubtedly many big companies more than 140 visit our campus throughout the year companies like goldman sachs (CTC 9.50 lacs), CDOT (CTC 7.70 lacs), Flipkart (CTC 16 lacs), Amazon (CTC 22 lacs), ZS Associates (CTC 9 lacs), Futures First (CTC 9 lacs), Punj Lloyd (CTC 5.50), Tata Motors (CTC 6 lacs), Applied Materials (CTC 7.50 lacs), Brahmos (CTC 8.0 lacs), Alstom Power (CTC 6 lacs), Coal India (CTC 9 lacs) and many more. All kinds of companies like core, software, consultancies, finance, trading, PSUs, banks etc visit every year and select deserving candidates. Mostly students get selected and few students don't sit for placements to prepare for civil services, GATE, GRE and all.

College Events

5

The exam structure and marks distribution is as 15 (sessional 1)+ 15 (sessional 2)+ 10 (attendance)+ 10 (Teacher's assessment)+ 50 (end semester exam) 100To get full marks in attendance one needs to maintain more than 90% attendance in that particular subject and to write end semester exams 75% attendance is mandatory in practicals 20 (internal viva 1)+ 20 (internal viva 2)+ 10 (attendance)+ 10 (Teacher's assessment)+ 40 (Final viva) 100 If one remains regular in studies then there is not much pressure or burden.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In first year we get rooms in sharing, three students in one room and from second year we can separate single room. We have 10 hostels for boys and 2 for girl for hostel seat rent is Rs 1600 per semester in first year and from second year its Rs 3000 per semester that you pay along fees. And for mess you have to pay on monthly basis mess fee range from Rs 3000 to 4500 per month depending on different hostels they quality of mess food is worst and not much variety you'll get to eat paranthas, rajma, chole, aaloo gobhi almost daily and if they cook something else that will also taste like them not much to say about mess food, it is almost shit and too pricey few dhabas are there just outside campus that will keep your taste buds alive.

Fees and Financial Aid

College doesn't provide any kind of scholarship if you are from reserved category then your state government will give you the scholarship and there are lots of other merit based scholarship which you can apply online on your own and there is a small branch of SBI Bank in the campus which gives the student loan if needed one can easily apply for that.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a very strong alumni network a lot of alumni meet for different batches happens in the college few of them have their own companies so they also comes to recruit students of our college they even gives sponsorship for different events in the college and senior students are helpful too, we get to know all the loop holes, cheats and tricks to make our college life chill.

Faculty

3.5

It is one of a dreamy college for many JEE MAIN aspirants so no matter how pathetic professors teach or how shitty we get to eat in hostel mess, it remains a special to almost all of us.

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
