Likes

I like my college's huge playground which is available for all kind of sports like volleyball, football, cricket etc. The playground is Welly maintained by the staffs and the playground has it's own beauty.
Our college campus is very beautiful, sorrounded by various trees there are many buildings, a separate building for indoor games, auditorium, gym corner a swimming pool also available there for swimming
The location of our college is very suitable for the students the highway and railway is nearby the college. In the exam times students can use two different ways to reach the college. The college is situated in a quiet zone perfect for the study.

Dislikes

I don't like the college's I'd card rules. The college I'd card checking occurred few times. Random people can enter the college easily. The authority might interfere in this matter seriously. Th I card checking is important
The college controller section has to be improved. There are many difficulties that students faces in case of railway consession and in the scholarship matter. The faculty in controller section has the worst behaviour
The fees payment in the college is not occurred properly. The timing of college fees taking is not accurate.

Course Curriculum Overview

Biotechnology is a very applicable field nowadays. Very few colleges have this subject in West Bengal and this college is very good institution for the biotechnology honours course. In case of Faculty student ratio there are very much students than faculties. There are very well qualified faculty members in the college. All of the teachers are dedicated in their departments.The timings of the examination is proper and well conducted. And there are much difficulties in case of passing the exams.

Class Size: 400Course Fees: INR 14000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are different fees structure for the different departments. In the department of biotechnology the admission fees is 14000. For every semester there is an exam fees and in every semester there is an admission fees. There are different types of scholarships available for lower casts and many government scholarships are also available.

Campus Life

Departmental freshers, farewell and college feast are occured in our college. There is a college library available in our college for collecting the students books classroom has different features available like audio vidual classes, computer based practical classes. Inter college sports and annual sports also occurred. Except these chese championship and carrom championship also occurred.

Admission

There is 50% marks is needed as the eligibility for this course. There is own website for application in the college. The college server is relatively slow, I think improvement in these case of server is needed.

I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. It was good to be a part of that college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

The reality of SCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
