Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty shouldn't be considered the best however they are very much helpful and friendly, and will be more than happy to help the students in their times of need. There are 3 sections for CSE with around 60 students in each. The faculties are fairly well qualified with unique specializations. The term exams are conducted according to MAKAUT schedules and are quite easy to pass, if you follow the classes regularly and make sure to take notes of the important topics the teacher discusses. The teaching methods are a bit boring though with not many of them utilising smart classroom features (almost all classes are equipped with projectors).
Internships Opportunities
Since I'm currently in my 3rd sem and have not yet started actively looking for internships I have very little knowledge regarding this. However from my little knowledge I can say that the college doesn't explicitly provide internship opportunities (like helping students find them, they are on their own). Though I cannot guarantee any factual accuracy.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to participate in on campus placements starting from their 6th semester. (I can't provide anymore details since I'm currently in 3rd semester and have very little idea regarding the placement prospects)
Fees and Financial Aid
Total course fees was 5.5 lakhs in 2022, however it was hiked to 6.5 lakhs the very next year. One major point of scrutiny is that the college shows no obligation to lay out the detailed fee structure, we are uncertain of how much part of the fees is utilised for which purpose. The on campus job scenario is fairly good, it's one of the best among the top private engineering colleges in West Bengal. In conclusion, the cost of education is comparatively higher. The college regularly provides training and development regarding placements (like seminars, value added training classes and special aptitude classes).
Campus Life
There are a lot of highly active clubs (9+) ranging for tech to photography to social welfare. The annual tech fest Avenir is conducted around May and the annual fest Mesmerizer is conducted in January. Besides these 2, there are a lot of fests and events conducted individually by the different clubs, all around the year. The library is not that great, the books are quite old and misses out on quite a few major titles. Classrooms are fairly well equipped with most of them having projectors. The annual sports meet Zest is also conducted with pomp and pleasure, and witnesses inter college participation including participation of the college faculty. Campus Life is super chill and there are no strict obligations to attend classes or to reach or leave college at specific times.
Admission
Admission was granted through WBJEE exam, however there are provisions for direct admissions via boards results as well (should be intimidated with the college in advance). Since it's one of the best private engineering colleges in West Bengal (among the top 5), the cutoffs are relatively on the competitive side (around 12k GMR for CSE branch until 3rd round of counseling). Applicants seeking addmission can contact the college authorities via phone call or can directly visit the campus. The admission process was fairly smooth and hassle free. TFW seats are available as well.
