Remarks

A very strict college administration for disciplinary rules but also a lot of freedom and security to students to study courses of their interest. It helps us to achieve great heights.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam for this college is BITSAT exam which is conducted all over India in the month of April and May.As soon as we write the exam the scores are displayed on the screen and depending on the scores we need to attend counseling.Seats are allocated through counseling here. There are no further interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very well planned here.It is very challenging and interesting. The main importance here is given for practical learning only. There are many Research opportunities available here.

Internships Opportunities

There are two practice schools(internship programs) PS-i at the end of 2nd year is basically for the the industrial exposure of students and hence no stipend is generally given in PS-I,PS-II takes place at the end of your graduation, a good amount of stipend averaging about 25k pm is given to students.Industries/companies are arranged by institute for internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are awesome every year around 90% student get placed.Companies that come to recruit are the best recruiters in their field like Amazon,Oracle,Nvidia,Texas instruments,Adobe,Goldman sachs,Bosch,Cisco,Jp Morgan e.t.c The average salary was 10 lakhs per year.

College Events

4.5

ALL the main fest of the college are national level fests with budgeting upto 1 crore. ATMOS -technical fest. ARENA- sports fest.PEARL -cultural fest are organized where various celebrities come like Farhan Akhtar,Sonu Nigam etc attend .Whole of the fests are managed by students. Various competitions like robowars, mini gp,coding competitions occur.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Here the fee is a bit high but worth paying for the knowledge itself. The admission fee is 25,000 and tuition fee is around 1,25,000.The fee should be paid in a single time.I agree its a bit expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are given by banks at a lower rate of interest than other colleges as BITS come under premium colleges.Regarding scholarships. There are mainly two types of scholarships Merit scholarship(given to top 10-15 students of a batch) and MCN (merit cum need scholarship) ,it is given on the basis of parent's income and c.g.p.a of the students.

Campus Life

5

Here we many extra curricular. Each art has its own club

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I am a hostler. The rooms here are very neat and clean. We have tasty food here.Yes, single rooms are available and also sharing rooms.I prefer sharing rooms rather than single room. The hostel fee is around 18,000.

Alumni/Alumna

Best network of seniors, juniors and Alumni I have ever seen,Seniors are very helpful for academics as well as they are good friends too.A strong Alumni linked through Facebook is the best part of the network.

Exam Structure

Exams are taken regularly to check the learning outcome of students but they are not too much to burden the students and when it comes to timetable of classes a full freedom to each and every student is given to make their own timetable,on an average schedule is perfect in which ample time is given to academics and extracurricular activities.Do you believe for us attendance percentage isn't at all considered.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here have very large experience.they are specialist in their fields and are very educated intellects, they have done their qualifications from the most prestigious universities of the world.Their research work is immense and interesting too, apart from their qualifications they are very good at teaching too, they help us to think of real world problems with the theory.

The geology has very significant importance to human in more ways but the Geology related jobs are very less in state government and central government. Few geology related companies are give opportunities to students wit. Internships and also provide jobs with tough exam and interview. The companies are Geological Survey of India and NGRI etc.. we expect that jobs in state government jobs but very less in state government in geology related jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite relevant and comprehensive offering a balanced combination of theoretical and practical knowledge for learning. This curriculum helps in developing both conceptual clarity and analytical skills and prepare students well for real - world challenges as well as higher academic pursuits. This curriculum is strong and valuable. The frequency and timing of exams are generally reasonable though at times.

It is an amazing course. Helps me understand the concept very deeply the curriculum is also really good. Every teacher has their own way of teaching some can improve but it is fine we can try to study and understand by ourselves a bit. When it comes to internals its of 20 marks we have as such three of them for one sem and avg of 10 is taken from it internals are of 1hr and externals will be about 2hrs 30mins and labs of 3hrs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the biotechnology course includes all the relevant topics needed to gain information about the subject. The curriculum also includes currently developing topics of interest which may gain popularity in the future (like bioinformatics). It thoroughly prepares us for real world applications as we gain exposure to various fields of interest in the subject and get a hands-on training in the subject. Ab area i would like to suggest for improvement is to alot equal no. Of periods to different papers in the subject as each topic has its own value in the academic and career purpose. The internals are conducted every month within a duration of 1 hour for each paper. there are currently 4 internals for our batch, each of 10 marks. The externals or the end semester exams are conducted at the end of the semester approx 6 months, which are of 50 marks. 10 marks is alloted for attendance, bringing the total to 1000.
