My life at KJ Somaiya experience

I am a science graduate and wanted to pursue a career in management and MBA was the best course to provide me with Practical skills and industry experience.The faculty is highly educated and accomodating, they make the students comfortable with the curriculum of the course. All the faculty members are phDs and have great experience in the the leading industries. The exams were moderately difficult as the subjects are new to students, but with the right approach and guidance, it is not difficult to pass the exams

The comapnies which visit for internship are icici bank, hdfc bank, jp mogran chase, morgan stanely, many marketing roles , finance roles, hr roles and operations roles as well. they offer roles like account manager, consulting intern, HR intern, buisness development intern, sales intern and many more. the experience learned during internships helps a lot in the final placements, many comapnies also offer ppo

There is above 95% placement records, placements are great and highest offered was 28 lakhs per annum. companies like mercedes, hdfc, icici, jp morgan , morgan stanely, golman sachs visit the campus. there are best opportunities for marketing and finance.

The fee structure is 20,00,000 Lakhs for tuition fee for the whole course and 2.5 lakhs per year for hostel. The ROI is great as the average placements are really good and great companies visit the campus.Financial scholarships are provided which are merit based, aids also provided

LIfe at campus is dynamic. there are a lot of clubs and committes in which students enroll . Sports is integrated in the curriculum and every student has to choose one sport which they practice once a week . we have the best amenities for sports ranging from basketball court to badminton court and every possible thing. classrooms have AC and properly ventillated, like proper 5 star lecture halls with smart devices

The admission process was vey smooth. I had appeared through Nmat, you have to choose KJ Somaiya in NMAT preference and also fill the application form for KJ Somaiya MBA program separately. During February, the cutoffs are released and merit lists will be released. In total 4 merit lists are released . I got selected for MBA HCM and MBA Core. The cutoff for NMAT last year was 222. The application fee was 3000. There are no benefits for reservations. The admission process was smooth. There was a PI round, which was online. The panelists were accomodating and nice. The application form can be found on the official website of KJ Somaiya. Also, only the first attempt of NMAT is considered.

I had to answer some question asked about myself before the interview round, we had to submit those answers on the dashboard. later in PI round , the panelists asked about my inclination towards Management and my graduation as well. They also asked questions from my graduation course. I prepared for PI round post NMAT, i prepared and gave mock interviews to practice and improve.
