The course is very much straightforward and it is great to be a part of this college.Every faculty is very helpful and supportive.The niche is directly study oriented and the students are also very amiable and faculty :student ratio is approximately 1:7

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is quite reasonable because it is a government college with available facilities and faculty are also highly educated and qualified.They try to instigate the study fellowship in the minds of students

Campus Life

There are many clubs like literacy and sports club that provide with the additional help and support required to assist a student in the coscholastic part.Apart from it the annual fest is held in February named pyrokinesis

Admission

The registration process was very much organised and self-sustained.It was hassle free and completely disciplined.To be eligible for taking admission in AEC guwahati students have to clear CEE exam which is a state entrance exam for the courses BE/BTECH

Placement Experience:

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

Placement Experience:

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

You are eligible for internship placement in the 5th semester and for the full time, you're eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. 223 offers were made for 22 pass out students. Some of the companies that visited our campus are Amazon Deloitte ZS Associates Tekion Mindtickle Gamescraft. The highest package was 61.5 lakhs and the average package was 15.34 lakhs. 95.12 per cent of students got placed. My plan after college is to work as a software developer.

My college experience

Admission is based on the scores obtained. admission using their JEE scores, entering through the CSAP round and JoSAA counseling. The college provides category-based benefits for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates. The cutoff marks for the college typically range from 120 to 130 out of 480. Only the top-performing students in the entrance exam are admitted to the college. I was not able to crack jee exam due to my category i got around 91.7 percentile which clears the cutt off marks but i will not be albe to take admission on my desire branch so i didn't took admission on NIT....Read More
