Actually,am interested in electronics and communication engineering because it has both oppurtunities to select whether software and hardware sectors .the faculty in nitc is helps us to get more skills in our subject.

About the fee payment in nitc there is different fee structure for different categories according to the caste . And scholarship is also available for poor economic students.and hostel fee is same for everyone

Life in nitc is good.number of fest is held nitc like freshers day, thathva,onam,ragam . Ragam is the southindian biggest fest. And also nitc conducts social groups,clubs or websites for students run by students

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities in nitc is good.there are 2 hostels for ladies one is megha ladies hostel and another is ladies hostel in mlh per single room there are 2 members in lh there are 5 members per single room and mess also contains good quality

Hostel Fee: INR 27000 per year

Admission

For joining nitc we have to qualify in mains with good percentage.and according to cuttoff marks we got seat in the respective courses according to our preferences.and also reservation policy for poor economic students

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
