Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well balanced so that students will not feel pressurised.They have a great set of faculties who helps us with any concepts.They have dedicated departments for physics,maths and chemistry.Termly exams had good standard questions which some may face difficulty.

Class Size: 54Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structute is in such a way that even a financially poor student can manage to pay with so many scholorships ,fee deductions etc.They even provide oppurtunity to apply for student loan during admission .

Campus Life

NITC has a very good social life .Only the first year students have curfews .Rest of the students including girls dont have curfews.They conduct two fests namely Tathva and Ragam on Nobember and February .These fests are mostly organised by the students itself.Classrooms are great and has every fascilities.They have a huge library with almost every book needed by the students.They have a big ground within the campus and also other courts too.There are lot of clubs run by the students who go to other institutes to compete.

Hostel Facilities

First year rooms are a bit dull but adjustable.They provide quality and balanced food .The registration for the hostel will happen once you get admitted to NITC.The menu consist of both north and south indian food.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

The admission is only through JEE Mains.But seat will be allotted based on home state,gender,caste and if you are NRI or not.The cutoff for home state quota with no reservation was around 97 lercentile or 30000 rank.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. A student's perspective

Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
