Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum has shifted this year to the new NEP policy method. Where first year students no longer have to learn common subjects but dive right into the core topics based on the branch. I do not have the exact number of faculty at the CHED dept of NITC. Most of the faculty are IIT graduates and had taken PHD from IIT or abroad. the exam times were quite difficult but it was not so tough to pass it
Internships Opportunities
I do not know much about internships nor stipend. i am a first year student and I would require a year more at the campus to know about its internship and stipend possibilties. But i would say i have heard of internships at cairn oil and reliance from my very own branch. Not much information about others
Placement Experience
I do not have much information about placements ans did not provide much heed to it as i plan further to achieve my masters degree after BTECH. there are usually companies like exxon amazon google infosys reliance axis bank etc
Fees and Financial Aid
It usually ranges with category and fees generally does not hike much per year. It ranges from none for the SC/ST to nearly 2lakh for DASA students. I have applied dor scholarship but results are yet to be availed
Campus Life
We have two fests. RAGAM and TATHVA. RAGAM being the annual fest and TATHVA being the tech fest. TATHVA occurs during the october month (this year has been postponed to january due to financial and legal issues) and RAGAM is set during the march april months. The infrastructure is pretty old but there is recent development all throughtout campus including for a subway to connect the mega hostel to the main campus.
Hostel Facilities
They provide a bed, table and chair. other hostel facilities include water heater and mini coops. The food was not bad but recently we had issues sith the chicken and other items served by the mess. The registration occurs every new college year beginning and costs nearly 60000 both food and rent
Admission
It was based on the jee exam. Since I was home state i got in with 96.27 percentile the cutoff was nearly the same as well because it was very tight this year. application form fees and dates can be found at JEE website. I am from OBC category. I request to see no changes in the admission system since I view it as excellent at the moment
