Fantastic college life:Lots of programs and cultural events make you more confident and helps in your character building.
High quality teaching:Professor are highly qualified and provide rigorous knowledge for the respective subjects.
Sports facilities:There are lots of sports facilities including cricket, tt, lawn tennis, hockey, football, kabaddi, kho kho and many more

Dislikes

Lack of girls 😅: I personally feel there is a shortage of girls.
Walking distance:You have to walk long distances
Raining:It's raining here almost for six months. You are gonna be annoyed by this.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had a great interest in civil. I am fascinated by the structure and I am passionate about buildings. For each 20 students there's a faculty advisor. All the faculties are highly qualified. Almost all of them have completed there masters and phd from different IITs and foreign universities.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 71000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For internship companies start coming from third year onwards. Stipend is about 10k to 15k. Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Bloomberg, L&T,Mercedes, BMW many visited for internship. Projects given were very innovative and informative. One of them was to develop web for a startup.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester onwards students can be placed. Last year almost 130 companies visited and gave almost 1000 job offers. Highest package was 52 lpa and lowest was 6 lpa. Almost 90 percent students get placed. I will go for placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for general candidates is about 110k per semester. This includes both tuition fees, hostel and mess charges. For candidates having income between 1 to 5 lakh fees is about 67k per semester. This includes both tuition fees,hostel and mess charges. For candidates having income below 1lakh and SC/ST candidates have to pay 45k per semester. This includes tuition fees, hostel charges and mess charges.

Campus Life

Two kinds of fest are organized. One is technical fest which is Tatva and other is cultural fest which is Ragam. TATVA is organized generally in the month of November. RAGAM is organized in the month of March. Calssrooms are have good ventilation with fans and proper lighting and seating facilities. There are almost 50 groups for various things including dance, drama, tech, coding and many more.

Hostel Facilities

Generally for first year four sharing rooms are alloted. From secomd year onwards two sharing room is given. In fourth year single rooms are provided. Food quality is good in almost all the messes. In locality there is no such pgs for students

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

Admission is done by Jee mains.Based on the cutoffs admission is dine to different branches. No separate forms are available for this college.Student must be 12th pass or have any equivalent degree from a recognized board.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
