Likes

Campus is lush green campus. So you get environmental friendly campus. And almost every month you will get to enjoy some events.
Classrooms are also well built with different type of infrastructure
You will get to meet people from all over india and even from country like Bangladesh

Dislikes

Curfew for 1st year students. It will be removed only after 1st sem

Course Curriculum Overview

A semester last for 4 months. Each day you have half day classes. Faculty members are good and kind. All faculties are qualified a minimum degree pf PHD. Exams are quite harder. Same pattern as JEE(that is no direct question from notes).

Class Size: 51Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

PPO is offered in 3rd year.And almost all of eligible students get placed. Placement for CSE department is awesome with 100% placement and average salary of 22 lakh. Highest package offered in 2023 was 47 lakh. Average package of college is over 13 lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

A total of 120000 is taken as tution fee and near to 12k for other expenses(per year). A lot of scholarship are offered. Overall cost of living is comparitivily high. Bank loans are easily available as there are banks on campus itself.

Campus Life

The campus life is awesome. There are a lot of fests and events occuring in campus. TATHVA is the tech fest occuring in the month of January and RAGAM is the annual cultural fest. From second year onwards you can participate in induction of clubs. A lot of sports facilities are also available in the college. A library over 100k of books available with perfect environment to study.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room is 4 sharing for 1st year and 2 sharing for seniors . There is just common bathroom and toilets(no seperate bathrooms) . There are near to 11 messes so you can try every mess every month. But for first year there are only 2 messes available. Overall hostel is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

For indians the entrance exam for admission in the college is JEE(joint entrance examination). Should score at least 90 percentile in it(if you have reservation admission is also possible in lower percentiles).

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
