Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty student ratio is around 1:15, which is a pretty decent ratio. And the quality of the faculty is good, but sometimes they lag behind on syllabus. Teaching methods are fine, but can be improved. there are mainly two exams, one midsem and one endsem. endsems are tough.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, HPCL, IOCL and many others visit the campus every year. Stipends range from 1.2 lakhs a month to 3000 a month. They are usually for 3-4 months. These companies often provide pre placement offers as well.
Placement Experience
As far as i know, students from 3rd year can start getting internships through the campus placement seasons.and there is a high chance that most students get placed, as our college placed 1000+ students into different companies last year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since this is a government institute, even for general students it isn't hard to pay the fees as they are quite low. Shouldn't cost more than 10 lakhs for the entire course of B.Tech. The fee hike policy hasn't affected this institute much.
Campus Life
Ragam is the cultural fest of our college, and it is conducted in the spring semester. Tathva is our techfest, conducted in the monsoon semester. Our library is pretty good, and it has a digital library that gives you access to all books. Classrooms are good, and sports facilities can be improved. Clubs are present, and they are quite engaging for students after class hours.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are kinda disheartening, the quality is not of a very high standard. Food is kinda bad, you can't expect much taste from it and will often end up eating outside. Registration process is seamless, and it is quite affordable.
Admission
I gave JEE mains and got 98.1 percentile, and through JOSAA and CSAB i filled out the choice list. After that I waited for each and every round as i got a better and better branch. As for the application fees, they were around 4000 rupees.
