Remarks

The college is okay for its status. Not a great one. But a good one in Kerala. The management is with students in all concerned matters. There are a lot of support from the faculty.

Entrance Preview

KEAM entrance exam and my Rank was 6013. This is the best 3rd tier college in Kerala. The course commenced from the beginning of the college.

The Curriculum is that of CUSAT which is updated regularly.

Internships Opportunities

The internship was with BSNL. It was a great experience having a look at the current industrial area of engineering. There was no stipend.

Placement Experience

The placement in campus is mainly by TCS. Other off campus pool recruitment are also done by the Training and placement cell of the college.

College Events

There is tech fest called "Summit", then arts. These are all great with a lot of technical as well as cultural activities. This is one of the best in Kerala.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The men's hostel has very limited number of rooms than the ladies hostel. The fees are acceptable and not at all very high. The mess food is good. I would rate 3.5/5

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarships are mainly of the Kerala government and Central Sector.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is almost same. There are few extracurricular activities. The labs are not upto the mark. The IEEE has a good SB in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

There are not much of notable Alumni. But there are a lot of startups from our college.

The faculty is one of the best in Kerala, with a bunch of them currently in research area.

Life at CET

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.

I first applied for most of the government engineering colleges. Then my next priority was to get into a best college other than the government ones. That's how I found college of engineering chengannur. I heard it is the second best IHRD college . So I fixed to get admission in this college. Also I connected with some students who graduated and they all gave positive response when I said I was interested in joining this college.
