Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Mechanical engineering as my branch as this particular field exites me. The course curriculum is a bit outdated but is quite interesting. The faculty members of mechanical engineering department are quite supportive and we'll qualified, most of them had completed their PhD . In one semester, we have 3 exams the ST (sessional tests), PUT(pre University examinations) and finally the University examinations.
Placement Experience
Placement are not that great, being a mechanical engineering student I can find companies coming for placement offers for a package ranging from 3 - 6 LPA. We are eligible for the placements in fourth year. The company also supports off campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee hike is nominal, like I paid 110000 for triple sharing in our hostel when I was in 2nd year and there was no price hike in the next session. The college fee increased by 5000 when I was in 3rd year (I paid the initial fee as 141256 and it hiked by 5000 when I was in 3rd yr) The UP government offers scholarship if you fall under EWS and are admitted through councelling. I don't know much about it but around 50% of your total fee is refunded.
Campus Life
The campus life is great! The only drawback I have found here is discipline and strict norms for attendance The college provides almost all the standard facilities. The sports infrastructure is also great. All the classrooms are smart classrooms. There are numerous college level and department level societies and clubs.
Hostel Facilities
The food quality is average (not too good not too bad) Gym, library and sports facilities are provided The fees is a bit expensive, but if we consider the city, the fees seems affordable The life of pg or flat students is more hectic as they have to take care of various things, plus they don't get proper nutrition.
Admission
I didn't appeared for any competitive exam as it was the corona period, so I got the admission based on my 12th result and an interview with the proctor of the college in which he wanted to judge my personality. I qualified the interview and got admission in this college
Interview Experience
It was a general interview with the proctor through which he wanted to know about my personality, thinking ability and IQ. He asked about my previous schools, their experiences. If I was a part of any project or event. General questions The criteria for application was 70% or greater in PCM in class 12
