Remarks

The fee structure is quite expensive but overall college is good and proved best for me.

Entrance Preview

I tool KEAM entrance exam. And the score wasn't that bad.My aim was a B-tech degree in mechatronics This college was the first to introduce B-tech Mechatronics to students in Kerala. So I chose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Since we are under a new university called KTU , the curriculam is difficult. Atough syllabus is there as well as very bad valuation of end semester exams. This has affected a lot of students. The university is a very bad one indeed. Mechatronics is a good subject that will have scope in the future. The bad curriculum from the university doesn't make the college bad.

Internships Opportunities

Till now in my knowledge there are none provided by the college but last year there was various workshops One was in specialized in solid works cad modelling

Placement Experience

3

Companies like infosys, wipro, cognizant are the usual placement drivers of campus In the previous batch around 121 people were placed in infosys and around 52 in wipro. Indian navy have also done a placement drive in our campus. More Indian companies are invited to the campus for the placement drive of upcoming year.

College Events

2.5

Tech fest called NSITE are carried out every year Cultural evenly called BLOOM is also carried out every year.College days are the best to enjoy the day.Cultural event called BLOOM is the biggest event they take place in the campus. The participation is huge Students are divided into houses and the houses participate for the champion title.Sports day are also taken place..it is carried out by dividing the students into houses.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this is a private college, fees are quite expensive. You need more money for food than for study. And the increase in mess fees every year is really a pain. The actual fee is around 50000 INR. Then there is additional 25000 INR which includes caution deposits, sports fee, arts fee, lab fee and special fees. For hostel rooms with attached bathroom costs 18500 INR while non attached one costs 15500 INR. Mess fee is around 2900 per month. Mess quota are also given.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are loan facilities availed by the college. Nehru vigyan scholarship is one of them. Scholarships for lower castes are also available. There is a fee discount based on entrance ranking.

Campus Life

3.5

There are students from various parts of Kerala from the north part to south parts of Kerala. Since the college is situated in the border of Palakkad and Trissur districts most of the students are from these two districts. Student from various religions and castes study here.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel rooms are good in rating. Rooms with attached bathrooms are shared by 4 people while non attached one is shared by 3 people. There is equal number of chairs, study tables and cupboards for the students. Electricity facilities are very good in rooms. Non attached roomers have common bathroom facility. Cleaning staff cleans the room once in a week.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are good. Since ragging is banned in the campus they don't make us feel terrible. There are some seniors who are really nice and you feel like a brother to them.

Exam Structure

Exams under KTU is a pain They put the question paper according to them not per the syllabus. The question paper pattern of the university is really a problem. You have to be very cautious on exams And also sometimes effective gaps between exams are not given. This stresses out the students and ends up in striking against that. And also the syllabus is a very tough one to follow.

Admission

The form includes the personal data of student as well as academic history. Since I am a hosteller I had to fill up another form. During the admission it was said that all the data such as marklists of hss as well as sslc and their carbon copies along with passport sized photos were required..

Faculty

3.5

Faculties are really very nice here. They are helpful in almost everything. Almost every year tech fests takes place in which the faculties are the one helping in conducting this. Our department conducts robo race, robo war, as well as robo expo in order to show the future of mechatronics.

From S3 we start to get placement training but S3 training is just a small training the tell you the basics and everything but from s5 the campus placement training, they take it seriously and the percentage of students getting placement is low. But because the college is autonomous they say the autonomous batch will have a 50% placement

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.
