Course Curriculum Overview
Firstly this particular course is having relatively easier curriculum and the main reason being my low percentile(95.6) that's why I chose this course in MNNIT Allahabad (this college had the best placement record). In my class there are 50 students now and for each class(period) one faculty comes (obviously) and we have 7 subjects to study means total of seven faculty for 50 students. All the faculties are P.hd. if you study seriously and pay attention to the proffesors you will definetely understand everything they teach so, teaching method is good but a few(one or two in my case from first semester to third semester) proffesors only focus on completing their syllabus. Every year we are provided an academic calendar every exam/holiday happens timely on the basis of that. Talking about passing then one can pass every exam by studying two days seriously and if you want to have good grades then start studying 15 days before exam you will definitely get more than 8.5 CPI.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies provide internship but the number of offers are very low as compared to the number of students so very less students get the internship opportunity but the quality is good as far as I know I can't tell much about it but as much as I have heard from the seniors it is very hard to get internship from this much competition the selection criteria also increases so if you are planning to get an internship then you have to prepare for it from late first year or second year itself.
Placement Experience
MNNIT Allahabad is famous for its placements that's why I came here. Students get internship opportunities from fifth or sixth semester only from internship they can already be placed or from seventh semester many famous companies visit for placements, except google(for some reason) almost all the big companies comes for the placement like microsoft, Dshaw, Adobe, Myntra, Phonepe, Flipkart, etc..Average package is almost 12 LPA with highest offered salary was 118 LPA. In our college almost 95 percent students get placed who are elligible for placement. For more detailed statistics about placement one can refer to the institute website. I am also thinking about taking a good placement in future.
Fees and Financial Aid
Coure fees are different for all the students based on their family annual income. If your family income is below 100000 they provide 100 percent recession on tuition fee (62500), if family income is less than 500000 then they provide 50 percent discount on tuition fee. College particularly don't provide any scholarship but you will probably availe it from national level (NCP) or state level scholarship. Job or stipend is not provided by the college but, for financially weaker students there is a scheme by the alumni in which they provide laptop to students for free.
Campus Life
You are definitely going to enjoy the college life here and remember it for your lifetime especially hostel life. In first year students are allocated in Swami Vivekanand Boys Hostel which is the best hostel till 3rd year final year hostel is newly made so it should be the best hostel. There are many clubs and committees in our college like sports club(different for different sport), cultural clubs(music, dance, drama, etc.).The biggest cultural fest is "Culruv" and biggest technical fest is "Avishkar" while Culrav takes place in mid April and Avishkar in August. If you really want to study then difinitely library is the best place for you where you'll find every type of books (related to your curriculum and extra from curriculum also). Almost every classroom is having well functioning ACs so one will feel more comfort in classroom than your hostel rooms in summer. It totally depends on you if you want to play any sport or not you can play any sport you want like cricket, football etc.
Hostel Facilities
If you move from first year hostel to second year hostel then you will find the size of the room decreasing significantly but as the time passes you will find it enough to live and will enjoy your hostel life with your room partner. Every room in second year is having a ceiling fan, a bulb, two beds and one slightly bigger table. Food in the mess is OK-OK type some day they give very nice meal and some day you will prefer to go to canteen over mess. Every process for hostel allotment are very smooth and you will find it easy once you have to go to hostel also the hostel fee is very low 12000 for 6 month and mess fee 25000(higher as compared to food quality) for six month.
Admission
First one has to register for the entrance exam of JEE Main. Registration fee then was 2000 rupees. If you have passed or appearing for 12th standard or equivalent from any recongnized board then you are eligible for this exam. One can take this exam a maximum of three times starting from 12th standard appearing students (whether you apply for the examination or not your chances keep losing. I didn't availed any reservation benefit. All the processes are very smooth I found it very nice.
