Likes

Hostel life, campus life , food quality and environment are good here.
Administration and buildings are well maintained. College has good beauty.
Everyone is humble and respectful. Can get snacks anytime and everywhere. Admission process is simple.

Dislikes

Placements are not that over the top. Not many good companies arrive.
Location is not good. Nearest town is Dhanbad that is 20km away.
On nirf rankings, college is very behind.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose engineering because i was good at maths till 10th. And after some research i found out tha mechanical engineering is on the principle of machines and their technology. Hence i chose mechanical.

Class Size: 792Course Fees: INR 14600 per year

Internships Opportunities

Since i am first year I don't really know about internship section. But one thing i know that tata steel and vedanta provide some internships. 8th semester is in online mode. So at that time we can do these things.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester we can sit in placements. Companies like vedanta, tcs, tata steel, samsung come for placements. Highest package was 40lacs for it student. And average package was near 6-7 lacs. Almost 80-90% secure their placements every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hostel fees is 7000 and electricity bill is 2500 for each year. And for 1st year 7600+7000 is needed for academic. Overall for 4 years you will pass out with a total bill of nearly 3.5 lacs. So its a pretty cheap state government college

Campus Life

Different clubs conduct different events. Yantrika is an annual techfest under mechanical engineering society which has several events. In campus there are cricket grounds, badminton courts, volleyball courts all over hostels.

Hostel Facilities

For first two year each student will share their room with 3 other students. Hence 4 students in per room for first 2 years. Food quality is just like home. Both veg aand nonveg options are available.

Hostel Fee: INR 9500 per year

Admission

Admission happens through jceceb according to common merit list. Common merit list is based upon jee mains percentile. For mechanical you need roughly around 92 percentile. For ece 95, for computer science engineering its roughly near 96. Btech course is done here for 4 years.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

We had very little companies for placement ibm and hcl came for bpo jobs.. About 80% left with no jobs after completing the session... Very poor placement opportunities. After completing the jobs most of us went to banglore for searching jobs... We had placement if any after completing 8 semesters We had ibm and hcl but they asked for donations before giving jobs. Packages were 3.6 Lakh to 5 Lakh per year. Overall 20% got placement. I prepared for Government exams after completing my degree.

I choose B tech in Computer. Student ratio is more than 100. Teachers are very good. All qualified teachers. Semester were there and exams were done on that basis. Very month, we have to give a class test also.

LIFE IN NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this was the branch I was getting through my JEE score. Faculty student ratio is 3:100. All the professors here are highly qualified and had phd from top colleges of the worl. There research has been published by many publications ,many of them had written books and got published . there researchs are famous world wide . The teaching method of professor is very good they explain the topics upto which it is necessary to be known. Exams here are held timely ,2 semesters per year and the level of question paper is moderate.

So my college comes under jharkhand government which is following jee mains percentile /ranks for admission. For general category students Scoring above 95 percentile gives them opportunity to have cse branch and gradually decreases for other branches.
