Remarks

Overall the college is best. But the best part is interaction between students and teacher(faculty) is quite impressive.

Entrance Preview

I attempted MH CET 2016 and got 181 marks out of 200 and got admitted to the college. Admission procedure is very easy and take single day for admission

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course of the MBBS is quite lengthy. I consist of 4 and half years of college studies and 1 year of internship where you get stipend of 6000 rs. It also involves lectures and practical courses along with postings in hospitals where you get to learn a lot.

Internships Opportunities

As I stated above, yes. The college provides internship of one year here in hospitals. Here the interns are lik growing in a butterfly from caterpillar stipend is Rs6000

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement and job opportunities are totally based on personal talent. Most of the students attempt NEET for postgraduate courses and get selected for various courses. While some go for the UPSC and social services. This year's topper of UPSC from Maharashtra is from our college.

College Events

5

In this i shouldn't say anything but you will experience such events that you never even expected before. The start is from kurukshetra which is a sports event. Antarang is a very special cultural event celebrating festivals in Maharashtra. Astitva is the largest event which includes concerts and a much more fun.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As this is a government college the fee structure is very feasible. The total fee for an OPEN candidate is less than a lakh per year. The hostel fee is 4000per year and there canteens for you to eat and pay policy. You may find this expensive if you are poor and Mumbai is really a bit expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships for students given by Maharashtra government. I have availed scholarship (freeship) which is an excuse for the fees.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is splendid with wide roads and crowded hospitals. Gender ratio is 50-50 because of equal arrangement of seats. Talking about diversity, the students from the whole country come here for studying and learning. The extra curricular activities are superb.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are 3 hostel in total. one is for girls and other two for boys. The yearly fee is Rs.4000 which is very cheap. Hostel rooms are very well furnished and comfortable along with clean toilets. The mess is good and it is also not expensive. It serves food on eat and pay basis

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very much helpful, they are like big brothers to help you in every situation. Seniors behave in good manner to junior students.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is fine and gives more than enough time study for students. The exams are held per 6 months on an average. But according to the syllabus which is very vast for medical studies the time is enough. During examination period the exams include theory papers on alternative dates followed by the practicals.

Admission

I got the results from mh cet 2016 examinations and i was thrilled with my results but choose a good college is almost a difficult task. When it was coming to fill the preference form i was quite confused because of some other colleges in Mumbai that are somewhat good according to people. But I made my mind clear to go in grant government medical college and preferred it as first.

Faculty

4

The faculty is having top most doctors in whole Mumbai. The teachers keep a good eye on students and their progress along with the attendance. For a particular subject the respective department has a good number of excellent teachers to help. I don't need to join any tuition classes other than college studies.

Curriculum is highly planned and very vast. Regular revision is necessary to caver all subjects. All subjects are taught with high practical basis hence ensuring exposure and preparing for real life exposure. Teaching could be more consise and logic based. Main exams are every 2 to 3 months with difficulty slightly higher in term 2 than term 1.
