Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is well relevant with the course. In this curriculum we get practical knowledge along with the theoretical knowledge. We get to practice dissection on cadaver to understand the anatomy of human body. It prepares us for the real world applications and further academic pursuits. I would suggest that the focus on clinical subjects should be there right from the 2nd year. The frequency and timings of exams are well organised. These exams test our knowledge in every possible manner.

Internships Opportunities

5

In internship we get to come accross various cases in every department like surgery, medicine, obgy, paediatrics, radiology, ent, etc. Stipend we get is 18,000 . We get to do tasks such as taking clinical history of patient, taking blood samples, monitoring various reports of the patient along with patient care

Fees and Financial Aid

Year-wise fees is 1,82,000 Tution fee - 1,71,450 Caution fee - NA for second year For 1st year - 3000 Admission fees - 1500 Development fees - 7500 Lib fees - 1500 Sc - 9500 ST - 9500 Scholarship available for students below family annual income of 8 lakh

Campus Life

5

My college has a great campus of 50 acres. It provides facilities like Amphitheatre, basket ball ground, Badminton court, and many other buildings for sports and extra curricular activities. My college also has a Gymkhana located in front of sea at Marine lines. It has cricket ground where the inter and intra college events and also our annual fests are held.

Admission

I applied for Kem Mumbai, Nair and Lt Medical College. I got Grant Medical College and I am extremely grateful for that. I chose this college over others because of its academics, infrastructure, patient inflow, etc. I didn't get rejection from other colleges and I not went there because I wanted this college. Cut off for my college is 670 marks for open category this year. NEET is to be given to get admission in my or any other medical college. My overall admission experience was good.

Faculty

4

There are 12-15 faculties in every department. There are 250 students in one batch. The bond between students and faculties is very strong. They are easily approachable and cater to our doubts in a very efficient manner. I like Rashmi ma'am because her way of teaching is outstanding. She clear the concepts very well. Best faculties are Rashmi ma'am, Shivalkar sir, Sachin sir, and many more I didn't like Prasad sir because his method of teaching is not that good. There are 2 internals, one prelims and one university exam. These exams are moderately difficult. The Questions asked in the exam are highly logical and related to the curriculum.

Night Life

5

My college has total 3 gyms in campus, 5 canteens, 3 library, many hangout spots. There is no such timing for boys hostel. In timing for girls hostel is 10pm. The famous hangout places are Physio garden, Boys common room, Ladies common room, cafeteria, main building terrace, etc. The locality is totally safe to hangout at night.

Curriculum is highly planned and very vast. Regular revision is necessary to caver all subjects. Main exams are every 2 to 3 months with difficulty slightly higher in term 2 than term 1.
