Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course after looking into the course structure which was availaible in the dtu website and frankly it was the best option available to me, I didnt think too much about it I just saw the courses found em interesting & opted for it. The faculty sudent ratio is decent its 1 faculty for every 60 students in a class which is not that bad. The faculty is highly qualified, some of them are actively involved in research and are well known in the industry. The exams are held almost around every 3 months mid sem & end sem exam & its not that difficult to pass if you are regular in studies otherwise it can be difficult

Internships Opportunities

3.5

So mostly the tere are 3 types of companies tech, non tech and core. MOst of the companies like Microsoft, Google etc a=came for tech software development role and the stipend was around 1 lakh. A lotof banks also did come in the intern for the role of analysts, a lot of the other companies were open for data scientists & analyst role with an average stipend of around 60k per month.

Placement Experience

4.5

You have internship season just after your second year and placement season just after your third year. Almost 300+ companies come to campus every year and placement percentage is overall 60 % as a lot of students in lower branches cant get placements. Students in COE,IT,SE,MCE,ECE,EE get the highest placements. The overall average ctc is 16 lpa and the highest package offered was 1.8 cr by Amamzon, dublin. I want to go for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

yea, fees are increased every year by around 5 %. As of dec` 23 its 229000 for a year. Fee concessions are available for sc/st/obcs/pwd candidate and is given to those students whose annual family income is less than 4.5 lakhs, you need to present proper proof in front of the fee concession comitee. Apart from that a lot of scholarships on merit are made available by the delhi government & you need to be the topper of the branch to avail the scholarship. Its a 10000 rupees scholarship for toppers

Campus Life

5

Life at DTU is probably the best if you compare to other collleges. DTU times is there for annual journals, The annual cultural fest named Engifest is probably the biggest cultural fest in north india. Classrooms are quipped with modern audio qualities, air conditioners, modern seats. The sports ground is very big, we have 3 indoor badmiton courts, 6 indoor table tennis courts, 2 law tennis courts then there is a basketball court. Societies & clubs are quite actrive here Madhurima the musical society of dtu and ieee is quite active

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are old hostels & newly made hostels, old hostels are not good as they are not regularly maintained. New hostels on the other end are good andthere is proper gym, table tennis court. we also have a tv room and rooms are spacious. Higher preference is given to non delho candidates here

Admission

The application process is pretty simple. For B.tech courses the intake is done via JEE exam ranks, You will have to apply for the JAC counselling in order to apply for DTU. Please note that JAC counselling is done only for selected colleges in Delhi eg DTU,NSUT,IIIT D and it is totally different from the usual JOSAA counselling which is done for NIT and IIT. I was a general delhi candidate & my JEE rank was around 18k. I did the usual choice fillings & I got B.tech ECE course in round 4 only which stayed the same in further rounds due to intense competition in 2021. I didnt availed any reservation benefits as I was a general candidate. I would like to decrease the unnecessary seats in some of the branches like computer engineering alone has around 500 seats which is not fair when it comes to the value of college.

Placement Experience:

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Placements begin from 3rd year end and go on for the complete 4th year. Companies like ZS associates, google, amazon, juspay etc have visited the campus in the past. Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.
