Remarks

The staff is at times helpful but mostly you have to pled for any requests you want to be fulfilled.

Entrance Preview

GGSIPU CET entrance exam needs to be qualified. I got rank 653 and opted for this college in spot counsel round because this college has hostel facility.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is a bit outdated, we are taught C, C++, Java basics which are already done by most students but it is good as various students who didn't opt for computer-related subjects or are from commerce background get to start from the beginning. Still, courses like cloud computing aren't being taught.

Internships Opportunities

It provides some training and once in 10 months duration an internship fair is organized mostly by students. The companies are usually startups and one or two renowned companies. You have to find an internship by yourself, very limited number of students are actually appointed. The stipend is not much it depends from company to company and also according to the job.

Placement Experience

4

A good deal of students gets placement on campus. Companies like Infosys, Deloitte, TLC, Amazon, etc. Are called to place students. The salary package is accordingly but low as per requirement. Companies also provide training and then main placement happen. Some companies sign bonds and pay for post-graduation according to the bond terms you have to work for the company while studying.

College Events

3

Any feast or program conducted is on a small level as the campus isn't big so not many other colleges are invited and only a handful of students are involved. The teachers or director usually don't support extracurricular activities. The feast conducted is good but cannot rival DU colleges of other colleges in the area.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for different courses are different but the fee structure is not that expensive as compared to other universities offering the same course. It's around 90,000 for BBA and BCA. B.com costs less but around the same. Cost for b.tech is more it's around 1.1-1.3 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there is no loan or scholarship facility provided by the college. You can avail for government scholarship or education loans if needed.

Campus Life

2

The campus life is okay all in all. The teachers prefer management students and there is a lot of partialities. There is no competition conducted on campus but and no sports or such extracurricular activities are promoted. There is kind of a religion discrimination.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility, well to put it pleasantly bad. The rooms are shared by 2 at most, you can also opt for single accommodation. There are no facilities it's just a room with a bed plank and table chair. No WiFi, no A.C., nothing The girl's hostel warden is very unpleasant and rude even to parents and not at all helpful, frequent complaints are made against her. The boys hostel warden is better, way better and quite helpful. You have to pay 3000/- monthly for the mess and it's mandatory of you avail hostel. Food quality is best in August when admissions take place and degrade every month. Hostel fees presently are 51,000/- for 10 months. In which 10,000/- is security deposit (refundable).

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumni network. Yes mostly seniors are very helpful and they advise you well. There is no ragging but some seniors are extremely rude. Choose who you confide in carefully.

Exam Structure

There is one set is internal exams including practical and one set of external i.e university exams including practicals per semester. The university exams are conducted in another in university college campus but all the practicals internal or external are conducted in your respective campus.

Admission

There are 4 rounds of counselling, 3 online and 1 offline. You fill colleges according to your preference and seats are alloted according to the cut off list. If you don't get the college of your choice you can opt for the next counselling round. If you get the college of your preference then you freeze the seat. 40,000 is taken as University fees which is paid online and the other half is paid offline in the college through a Demand draft. If you opt for sliding round or spot counselling then you have to pay additional fees for it and you'll alloted seats which are left. If no seats are left in your preferred college then you can opt for another college.

Faculty

2

The faculty is not of expert level. They are qualified but mostly can't keep up with so many students who have all different queries. Plus they don't know the modern technology and how abouts of it. They are knowledged in their own fields but that is limited. Some teachers are very helpful but others make you life an actual hell. Mostly second shift teachers are amazing and helpful.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at our college are quite good and students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year, including Amazon and several other well known IT and business firms. The average package is around 5 Lacs per annum, while some students receive higher offers depending on their skills and performance in interviews.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and covers most of the imortant subjects needed for our feild. It provides a good foundation and helps in understanding the basics clearly. many topics are for real world application can also help in further studies. However the curriculum could be improved by adding more practical sessions real projects and updated industry oriented content. Some subjects feel a bit theoritical so more hands on learning would make cource stronger. The exam schedule is manageable with internal external and internal assessments held at regular intervals. The difficulty level of exam is modrate and we students can perform well with study.Overall curriculam is decent but can become more comprehensive with few updates.

Wipro, Happiest Minds and likewise a name which we know or for that matter everyone knows existed here for placements. If engineering students want to brag 10-12 lakh annum jobs then it means they would have paid double or more for what we paid. I have already passed my graduation and working in an MNC where I was placed from campus.

Offers are average like 3lakh per annum, highest i saw for bca was 6.6lakh per annum that too a couple of years ago I dont know the percentage of students getting placements. My plan is to go for MCA.
