PCCOE- Uniform obsession or Real Results

I choose this course becaous it loved computers from childhood and wanted to do something related to it. There is 1 faculty per 72 students. In the first year there were around 60 students. However in the 2nd year Direct Second Year student were added in all classes. So it went 1:72 All faculties are PHD holders, some have very strong command on the subject. Some lack English speaking skills. But all are very helpful Exams were on time, re-exams were conducted promptly and results were always on time. It is easy to pass exams until 2nd year. But from 3rd year difficult subjects are introduced like theory of computation, OS etc

Intenships are mandatory and have a 3 credit weightage in 3rd year. AICTE also provides some internships for all. For internships BMC hires Mainframe developers interns at 40,000 stiped with PPO Barclays hires web developers at 70,000 stipend with PPO KPIT hires embedded systems developer at 25,000 without PPO Persistent systems hires android developers at 30,000 with PPO The projects start from 3rd year: 1) Data mining project: It is basically a machine learning project in which we need to create a machine learning model on any machine learning technique 2) Computer graphics and gaming: In this we need to create a game thru unity or maya. 3) Technical seminar: This is a major project, we need to create a research paper on any 1 of the 4 domains: Visual computing, Biomedicine, Cybersecurity, Computer networks and we are given 2 semesters to complete it.

Internships start from end of 3rd year. Companies start coming from start of 3rd year. The first company to visit the campus was BMC which offered 40,000 stipend for interns and PPO of 14 lakhs. 7 Students were selected. Some other companies include Barclays, Mercedes, Hewlett Packard, KPIT, Accenture, Wipro, IBM. The highest on campus offer was around 18 lakhs(I dont know the company), and the highest offcampus packages was 61 lakh given by Uber banglore to 2 students. Most of the students are placed above 7 LPA. I plan to go for a job after my degree, and after 2-3 years, go for a masters

There is negligible fee hike, and it is relatively cheap to study with a high Return of Investment. If you are a good student, you may earn around 11-15 lakhs per annum after B.Tech(CS) There are tons of scholarships given by maharashtra govt. However I was not eligible for it. The college also provides financial assistance to the needy students after background check. Many students are there who pay just Rs. 1000 fees per year. However hostel is more costiler than the college and it is mandatory to have hostel in First year

Annual fest "swartarang" is conducted every year around january. It is good but not that great. Some marathi actors are called as chief guests. The library is really good, it has all books you will need from metallury to Databases. Classrooms have projectors, computer installed Some classes have CCTVs which are damaged. Sports is not present in the campus. It is but not that profoundly There are tons of clubs like Computer, ENTC: ACM, GDSC, OWASP, ACM-W Mechanical: Kratos,Maverick, Red Baron, Solarium, Automatons

The new boys hostel is like a hotel. It has brand new desks, beds, beautiful washrooms, Mirrors in rooms, wardrobes. Hostel also has a big basket vending machine that is available 24x7. The hostel is secured with face-ID gates. Since I am from north, I typically dont like mess food, Nor do my marathi friends like it. Mess is bad. Non veg is served 2 times a week. Hostel is very costly around Rs. 1,12,000 outside it is much cheaper and better food

For btech eligibility is 12th board exam with Physics, Chemistry and Maths minimum 40%. The qualifiying exam for JEE Mains and MHT-CET I gave JEE Mains and scored 85 %tile, I was from JKM category There is also management quota which you can avail. The only bad thing about the process was tthat it was completely offline. I needed to come to Pune from my hometown.
