Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course I love to pursue my career in the field of civil engineering. Since my childhood I love to see building being constructed. That is an amazing and fascinating process. Then I decided to become a civil engineer so I opted this course.in this 2 main exams per are conducted one is mid semester and the other is end semester. The are well versed in their respective courses and have good qualifications

Class Size: 44Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like Samsung,apple,Amazon ,tata,HCC,Relaince constructions, etc..recruit students directly from campus and provide internships with stipend.and also this internship are selected in the only basis of merit.

Placement Experience

From 4th semester students are eligible for internships and fully eligible for campus placements in 6th semester.many companies are visited this institute and made many offers in different branches.nearly 91% students are placed in different companies. My plans after getting degree is to crack UPSC exam and serve to my country

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is different for different students. An education loan is also provided for students those who are financially weak. There is. Scholarship.and also campus will definitely provide and internship with a stipend

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good. Here we have many fests. South Indias large fests are from here. There are many clubs here like Street play , mime and there is also a big library which has approximately 13 lakhs books. Amenities in classrooms are also good

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is also very good. But since I am a non local I feel a bit difficult to eat here. Hostel fee is a lso. There is a newly constructed hostel called mega hostel. The quality of food is also good and even affordable

Admission

For being a member in this college I have jee main examination. I wrote it in 2 attempts. Out of which in first attempt I got 96.7 percentile and second attempt 95.99 percentile. Best of both considered for Ranking. There are benifits of reservation but I didn't get any. The application fee for jee main is 1000rs.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
