Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'm in ME(mechanical engineering) department of DTU, I've chosen this course because this course is best in DTU than all the other colleges in India, because of the latest equipment in the lab. the faculty is pretty decent they are just doing their works and all. Student ratio is very low in mechanical department in my class the student ratio is 75:3 but yeah they all are friendly. Seniors are also very helpful and cheerful to freshers. mid term exam were held in September and end term exam were held in end of November, mid had 2 chapters in exam and end term had 5 chapters and to be honest if you studied 1 week before the mid term and 3 weeks before the end sem you could excell the exams but you'll have to be dedicated towards your studies for that 1 whole week before exam, you cannot procrastinate about your exams or else you're domed. all questions came from past year papers and assignments.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

college provides internship opportunity to students by themselves and companies also come to give opportunities to fresh minds to work with them, there are various roles according to their background and stipend also varries according to their work profile.

Placement Experience

4.5

from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement and from 2 semester they can sit in internship. there's a lot of company visits every year for placement like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Apple, Tata, Adobe, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, and alot more highest package offered was 30LPA and avg was 10-11LPA. almost all the students gets placed or they start a successful startup of their own. I'll get placed in Microsoft after getting a degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees for mechanical engineering in DTU is currently 1,29,000 for first year and keeps on increasing by 10,000 every year. there are lots of scholarship program in DTU regarding upon you eligeblilty. ROI is also good in DTU.

Campus Life

4.5

there's a lot of fest happens in DTU other than freshers, there are fests like yuvaan, Engifest, food fest, aarambh and more others and alot of tech fests too but mainly freshers happens mostly in September or October and Engifest happens in February or March. library is a Haven for freshers most of them spend their most of the time in library, all the course books are available in the library and journals too and PYQ are available from 2nd years, recently library have opened the e-library for students where they can easily access all the books lecture journal or anything related to their course. classrooms have little bended benches which needs repair ment and projector and have WiFi too. there are alot of sports area and have many curricular activities of your niche and there are hundreds of societies/clubs for extra curricular activities and you'll have plenty of time to work on your passion.

Admission

i went into DTU through JEE mains entrence exam. you can find the form on their official website. The application process usually involves: 1. Online Registration: Candidates need to register on the official website of DTU or the respective entrance exam. 2. Filling the Application Form: Applicants have to fill in personal and academic details, upload required documents, and select their preferred course. 3. Payment of Application Fee: There is typically an application fee that needs to be paid online. 4. Admit Card Download: After successful registration, candidates can download their admit cards, which contain exam details like date, time, and venue. Eligibility for my course was above 95%ile. I'm a defence quota student so I've got Mechanical engineering in DTU as an OBC student I was getting PIE in DTU. I don't think there's any need in improvement in admission process, the admission society were giving their best for admission of students.

Placement Experience:

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.
