Placements here are top notch and at par with those of nits.
There is variety for hotels and cafes nearby so there isn't a problem for food

Dislikes

Techers are not supportive. Constant clashes with teachers
There is no social life for students of this college unless you spend money on bars and clubs
College is very strict and inconsiderate for attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have taken information technology course. It is not much different from cs/cse and it does not matter what branch to choose. The placements are almost same for both branches. Faculties are phd and masters people but anyway atlast we learn from YouTube only. Its an headache when it comes to exams .

Internships Opportunities

There are oncampus internship opportunities for the 3rd year students of our college. Many companies visit and hier interns for various roles. Almost all the companies offer paid internships and the stipend and vary . Some of these companies also give PPOs to their interns.

Placement Experience

It is one of top colleges in Maharashtra in case of placements . It would even surpass COEP in placements. Last year ie 2023 batch had average package of 12lpa. The placement report is available on the college website. As for the placement scene for year 2024 due to recession there has been much reduction in placement ratio.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general category the fee is around 96k . I got tfws seat hence my fee is around 12k. For other categories also the fee is different and there are also scholarships provided. Students avail hostel scholarship and one called alpa-budharak scholarship.

Campus Life

Well if you are thinking to take this college for the purpose of having the movie like college life, then reconsider your choice. It is not at all as they show the movies. You should only take this college if your sole focus cracking a good placement.

Admission

The admission is done through mhtcet and jee mains. I got in through mhtcet. I had 99.34 percentile so i got IT TFWS . The average cutoff is around 98 99 percentile for general category. For other categories the cutoff is little lower.

An Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The Campus placement of VNIT Nagpur is good enough. Students of 7th and 8th semesters are elegible for campus placement. Many companies visited in the campus some prominent names were google, Microsoft, amazon, Goldman Sachs, and many core companies such as bajaj, HPCL,BPCL etc. the number of offers made was 760 in 2024 and placement percentage was around 80 percent.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are pretty good considering the Fact that mostly its the Top 2000-3000 students from Maharashtra that make it to this college. The average Package offered in the college is Around 11LPA while the highest package last year was around 48LPA. The names of the Top companies that have recruited students from my college include Adobe, Amazon and Mastercard. The placement percentage from the past few years has been above 90%. My plans after getting the Degree is either to continue my Cricket Career as a Proffesional or to become a Commercial Pilot.
