DTU Review

I chose Automation engg. as it was the best I was getting here frankly, but the placement opportunites I guess are quite good. We had 80 students in a batch its almost the same in every branch. Teachers are qualified as they have proper PhDs and stuff but not everybody is helping enough to the students. Exams happened every 2nd or 3rd month and the paper was tough but questions were repeated.

Internships start around the end of 2nd year(international). There are various companies which come for internships but the ratio is not all good. The internship ratio might be around 25-30% of all students who apply.

The placement season usually starts after or at the end of 6th semester. There are a number of reputed companies like facebook amazon netflix google etc. who hire from here. The highest package internationally has gone upto around 2Cr a year and domestically around 45L a year. Placement rate is about 70%.

The fees is quite high as for the first year it is 229000 and increases every year by 10000. There are scholarships and financial assistances as well but one needs to roam for quite a while in the academic section to fully understand the procedure.

The college life is good and its like any good college in India where people from maany regions come even internationally. Hostel life is very good. There is a very big and full air conditioned library whch is opened till 10. There are many labs as well as buildings and workshops for every department. There are football, basketball, cricket grounds etc. Engifest happens every year around feb and it is one of the biggest fests in India. There are a ton of societies and clubs for every activity.

Admissions happened through JAC Delhi, JEE Main percentile scores were required. Application form is filled at the JAC Delhi website after recieving the JEE Main scores. Reservations are the same as any govt. institution.
