Likes

I like the campus life in all possible ways to enjoy.
Wildlife species like all kinds of birds can be observed on or outside the campus.
I love the food here as the Udupi cuisine is delicious.

Dislikes

A very bad weather with sudden rainfall. Even Google can't predict the weather properly.
Half of the students are rich spoiled brats who parties every weekend.
Cost of studying is very high for a middle-class student.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CSE with minor in Fin.Tech. Because I want to become a business man. Faculty:student ratio is pretty good. I mean you can easily find lots of teachers wherever you want. All the faculty are qualified with Ph.D's (only Professors). Teaching method is pretty boring in 1st year. Term exams are conducted twice a year and those are easy to pass.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 1825000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have any fees hike in 1st year. The cost of studying in MIT is very high comparing to other private institutes. There are no scholarships provided by MIT. The only aid a student can get is through MERIT. Also I didn't find any part-time jobs or financial support on campus with stipend.

Campus Life

Annual fest= REVELS and Tech fest=TECH TATVA . REVELS will be conducted in every march and TECH TATVA will be conducted in every october. Books are common everywhere but the journals here are appreciable. I love the journals in Central MIT Library. Classrooms are well-cleaned with digital boards. Sports like athletics and swimming contests are popular. Extra curriculars like dancing is very famous. Clubs like IECSE, IEEE, PDA are the clubs run by students.

Admission

In my view, admission process very smooth. I performed decent in MET exam (Manipal Entrance Test). On basis of MET rank, student will be able to choose a branch. All the application details like application form, fee and dates are available in MIT's official website i.e., manipal.edu . There are no reservation benefits. My suggestion is to make admission process online since I had to travel huge distance to submit hard copies of personal documents and have to return back to my hometown.

my view on internship oppurtunities

Placement Experience:

the placement rate says 100% but you have to be maintaining 7.25 cgpa in order to sit for the placements and they are classified into 1) mass recruiters 2) dream companies3) superdream companies for which you will need 9 and above cgpa. i personally am dependent on placement or i also am appearing for the GATE entrance exam in my 3rd year as well as my 4th year and will see where life leads me but honestly i just want to start working and gaibn indstry experience and make money and develop skills faster

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. MIT Manipal is awesome!

For B.Tech courses, Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by the college and students on the score and ranking are alloted branch. CSE and AI are taken by top rankers and then mid rankers can take our branch. However, first choice is always with the students. MIT Manipal is super tech savvy!

In MAHE or MIT Manipal the university only accepts their own entrance scored as JEE qualifications and all have very limited seats.
