- Hostel washrooms are worst. They need to be fixed as soon as possible.
- The connectivity of this college is quite bad because there is no autorickshaw facility in HAMIRPUR city.
- Exams are little bit tough. Scoring more than 9 cgpa takes too much efforts.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I have deep interest in this field and my marks were sufficient to get into this college. Faculties here are good. All are PHD holders. The teaching style is very good. Exams are little bit tough so one has to study on regular basis to get good CGPA.
Internships Opportunities
The placements and internships in our college for CSE and ECE branches are excellent. Many big companies like Amazon, Accenture, capzemini, HCL,cognizant, samsung come to our college for placement and internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
The placements in the college are also excellent for CSE and ECE students. The placement percentage in core branches is very less. Some major companies that visit our college are Amazon,Accenture, capzemini, HCL, cognizant, samsung and many more but they usually pick CSE and ECE students. In CSE the placement percentage last year was around 90 percent and rest opted for higher studies. In 2022 the placement percentage was around 97 percent for CSE. Fees and Financial Aid
Fees of NIT HAMIRPUR is quite less as compared to other engineering colleges. Scholarships are also provided by the college. Hence at last this college is worth it. Some benifits are also given to the students whose parents income is less than 5 lpa.
Campus Life
The life at college is very good. This college is situated in Himachal so one can find lots of natural beauty here. The infrastructure is excellent. The annual fest is HILL'FFAIR which is conducted once a year. The availability of books in library is also very good. The sports culture and facilities here are very good(more than the expectations)
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are average. The food quality is very good. Nice and delicious food is given to students here. High speed internet is also provided and in few months we will get 5g unlimited internet in hostels too. Menu of hostel is also good and a balanced diet is provided to students. One problem that we students have faced is the cleanliness of washrooms. Hope their conditions will improve soon. Hostel is not too expensive, it's quite reasonable.
Admission
The admission process for the college was based on the jee mains score. This paper is conducted twice a year in the month of January and April. Application process and details are provided by the JOSSA and allotment in the college is done by the same.
