Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members are quite ok. Some of them completed their PhD. You will have series exams (2)before the end semester examinations. Since this college is affiliated to KTU, the exam schedule is quite tough. We will have hardly 1 day in between exams. Otherwise no problem.

Class Size: 71Course Fees: INR 35000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I am a general category student, I have to pay the full amount of 35,000 per year. If you have reservations, then you have many scholarship opportunities like egrantz, mcm, etc. So there won't be many financial issues if you are allotted via merit.

Campus Life

Since it is a government-controlled self-financing college, you have both advantages of a government college as well as a private college. You have NSS, bhoomitrasena clubs,IEEE,IEDC,etc. Tech fests are organized annually. We have a large central library along with department libraries.

Admission

The admission is through the KEAM entrance exam conducted by the government of KERALA. Once you get a reasonable score, you will get admitted to a course of your choice, based on the score. I think the cutoff for computer science when I joined was around 12,000 for the general category students.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

nehru has implemented placement traninng from the start of the course itself, from first year itself we get to placement classes which made us adapt and get to know how interviews are conducted. from 4th year onwards i think students are eligible for placements and more than 75% of students gets placed every year
