Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing has the same majority of syllabus taught to the core CSE branch, but it also includes a mathematics portion which can widen the variety of options you have to choose from once you complete this course. It has a faculty: student ratio of around 1:60 or 1:80 but for the Mathematics and Computing branch it's much better because of not much overload of students in this course. Teaching is pretty good if you pay attention in class you won't have to involve yourself much in studying hours a day at the hostel too just a quick revision and very little practice are needed. Exams were on point as schedule given to you

Internships Opportunities

4

IAESTE, and AIESEC send students all across Europe, Asia and America to intern, companies like Microsoft and CISCO, recruit 3rd yr students from Campus. Apart from this, there are start-ups in Campus professors working on some Research Project or something you can find entry into some company as an intern via an interview or source.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the beginning of the Fourth Year placement can begin I.e. from 7th sem itself, there's a placement cell room where it takes place, multiple companies come for placement from Microsoft to Samsung etc The latest data states 92.9% of placement took place with around 339 recruiters and the highest package offered was 54.75 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various types of scholarships available, if you're under 500 students after MOET you get a 100% scholarship on your tuition fees and if you're under 2000 students after MOET you get a 20% scholarship on tuition fees, which will remain if you get 8.5CGPA+ after each semester And also a CGPA percentage post admission if you're under a certain ranking in your batch (usually a 9+ CGPA)

Campus Life

5

In October, the tech fest: Tech Tatva takes place and In March, the annual fest: Revels takes place every year. There's a variety of books available in the library, and there's also a good amount of sports facilities available. Competition like MIT CL(cricket League) and MIT Football League takes place and you can give tryouts for teams for almost every sport available swimming, football, badminton etc including indoors like chess It also has multiple student clubs ranging from tech clubs like ISA, robotics etc and non-tech Ada (dramatics), Goonj(music) etc It also has Student Projects like Project Manas, Cryptonite, Mars Rover Manipal, Dronaid etc with many domains that you'd like for your choice Options for extracurricular activities here are a lot

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Mirror, Almirah, Bath tub, Pillows, Bedsheet, Pillow covers, study table, chair, and WiFi facilities are available at every hostel There are many messes and 2 food court throughout the campus, the messes are run by one of the food court, the food quality is pretty decent when you compare it to other college student's reaction to their mess Once you've submitted fees for the allotted branch you will be notified through your mail about when hostel allotment goes on, though the dates to book your hostel depends on rank like first 2000-4000 ranked students hostel allotment dates starts from this date and rest from a day later it still depends on first cum first serve basis, the mail will notify you about prices of each type of hostel, like a triple sharing common bathroom would cost less than a double sharing common bathroom which will cost less than attached baths which will cost less than AC rooms likewise

Admission

First, you have to give a Manipal Online Entrance Exam (MOET), it takes place in 2 rounds and after 2 rounds based on normalization it assigns you a rank later with your registered mail IDs they'll keep you updated when the choice filling form is available and you can fill choices based on your preference. Last year form for the MOET application started around October/November but the application was valid till around March so you can check if it has started already for the next batch of students. The admission process is normal nothing much complicated.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements.
