Campus was very attractive and had calm atmosphere
The canteen facility was quite good and affordable
The Library was a vast one and provided every reference books we needed

Dislikes

Inappropriate schedules was a major concern

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course because literature was my passion. The faculty student ratio of each department was around 20:300. Highly qualified professionals were taken as teachers( PhD holders or net holders with teaching experience) Exams were semester based.

Class Size: 74Course Fees: INR 500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were 500 per semester and exams fees were also there( that too 500 per person per semester) I didn't avail any scholarships although there was E_grantz scholarships for economically weaker students

Campus Life

Annual fest was conducted during the month of February every year. We had a vast library in our campus. Well furnished digitally equipped classrooms were there. A functioning sports club was there and sports meet was conducted every year. A lot many clubs were there like Environment club, literary club, nss, ncc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are a little bit poor Meal quality was average Hostel was mostly affordable as the rent was 4500 per month. Thre registration process was easy . We had to fill an application form and get it countersigned by the college authorities and give it to the hostel administration.

Hostel Fee: INR 4500 per year

Admission

Application was given through Kerala University site and seats were allocated to students according to their merit. 12th qualification was the eligibility of the course. Application fees was 500 rs Admission procedures should be made a little more faster.

The curriculum offers a solid theoratical base, which influenced my decision to choose this course. While it helps with further, its lacks real world exposure and updated content. Exams are held each semester and are moderately difficult beacuse of this, so practical training and teaching methods need improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as because I like English Literature. The student ratio that my class own is about 48 students in total. Majority of the teachers who are posted there are those who have qualified with NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST). The current HOD is one of the retired Assistant Professor from one of the renowned college around Kozhikode town. Internal exam were timely, but coming to University exams it was so restless. But as if now, it is getting into the track again by conducting exams on time.

Life at SN College

At first I got admission in a college at Ernakulam ( MG University) But it was far from the town and doesn't have much bus. Service, which was quite tiring. So I applied for supplementary allotment. And I got into sn college kollam. Since I studied Journalism in my higher secondary education , the college admission for me was quite easy and I didn't got any rejection from any of the colleges I applied . Since my college is an aided college, fee structure was very affordable which is not seen in many other colleges with this course as it a professional course. A simple review.

The eligibility of the course is to pass 12th standard with minimum marks. No entrance exams was required at the time of my admission, it was done through the website of Kerala University. The application form can be found out through the site of Kerala University itself And a nominal application fee is required. There are exemptions for students from the reservation communities and classes. My suggestion is that the website has to be improved as it is not performing very well....Read More
