Remarks

College is good, management needs to do some big changes in placement dept and try to increase number of core companies visiting college. Not just final year, students must be promoted to do projects in 2md and 3rd year too and they must be given credits for the same.

Entrance Preview

Cet Karnataka My score:1356 Review from seniors were good, college has a good name in the locality. And the location of the college is far from the city hence less dictractions

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is very good, course matter is very well distributed and doesn't load students much. But since the evaluation is done all the time, students have to be prepared for a test anytime, apart from that it's good, unwanted things are chopped from the syllabus

Internships Opportunities

Not sure about the stipend but they do provide internship. I have seen students come there from other universities

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is the place where NMAMIT is not doing well. Since it is far from the most happening city of Karnataka I. E., Bangalore, college fails to get premium recruiters for placements. IT/Cs don't have much issue but core branches are the one who suffer. Like every other tier 3 and 2 college, Core branch students are forced to take up IT jobs

College Events

4.5

TECHNIDARSHAN: National level science and technology event. Here students from other college used to come to compete for paper preparation, projects, tech games, technical tressure hunt where we had to build our antenna and track the signal source to get the tressure.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is fair enough, it cannot be called as an expensive college. I had a govt seat hence completed my eng within 1.2L plus I got many scholarships from govt and local bodies. For private seats though, I have heard that fee is around 2Lacks/year, but even that varies depending on the branch

Fees and Financial Aid

I got govt seat and scholarship dept notified us as and when scholarships applications were started. I received labour dept scholarship all 4 years and its was all processed by scholarship dept.

Campus Life

4

Campus is very beautiful, full of greenery a d very vast. Gender ratio is almost equal, except for mechanical am biotechnology. Extra urricular activities were supported, though I wasn't in sports, there were athletes from my batch. Labs were just OK. Robotics and aero clubs were formed when I was in college, they used to build things but it wasn't managed preperly

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was a day scholar back in engg, hence no first-hand experience with hostel life. But what I learned from my friends, hostel fee was not very high. It was 2 sharing rooms for guys and 3 sharing for the girls. Food in the hostel was okish, not anything great coz of which there are many restaurants around the collage. Ladies hostel warden was very strict**.

Alumni/Alumna

I'm a alumni now, I'm still in contact with my branch and receive mails. But college alumni network management is not upto the mark. No events are conducted and if conducted, even then not all are invited or only a mail is sent which goes directly to spam

Exam Structure

well balanced evaluation proces is distributed among various aspects like surprise tests, mid sem exams and final sem and all scores are considered for CGPA hence it is very well balanced. Labs were very good except chemistry lab dept, No explanation is guven why a lecturer gives full marks to a student and cuts someone s marks.

Admission

My seat was a govt cet seat. After getting the confirmation from cet dept I went to the college and got admitted the same day. Principal himself greeted us, one person showed us all the main offices and branches, greeted Dean RnD, controller of examination. All together the officials were were welcom

Faculty

4.5

Good. Faulty in any college is a mixture of very good lecturers and not so good ones. But considering Eee dept, the balance is more on the good side. We have a branch level project exhibition every year where lecturers guide 2nd and 3rd-year students to complete projects. This exhibition is managed by final year students and lectures and funded by aluminum, which is a very unique thing and helps students in final year projects

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.
