Remarks

Overall I would say that it is a decent state government college with average campus. It should promoted more on student development than simply relying on course structure.

Entrance Preview

I gave MHT-CET(State level entrance examination for Maharashtra). I scored 100 in it. I was in a search for an autonomous, government college and according to my cutoff, this college was suitable for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The accessibility to the course curriculum is quiet easy here. All the stuffs are available on the website including syllabus, subject description, textbooks for reference, detailed course structure etc.I am not that statisfied with the course structure with reference to the research. But it has got most of the stuffs related to core areas.

Internships Opportunities

As of now I didn't heard of any facility for internship in the campus but they do encourage and helpful in connecting the dots with various organisations nearby for the internship.

Placement Experience

2

The placement details for last 3-4 years are quite decent as compared to previous years. The average package offered here is 3-4 lacks per annum. Most students here apply for off-campus jobs or higher studies. Every year on an average around 50-60% students are placed and rests go for higher studies. Companies like L&T Infotech, Hcl Hyderabad, Syntel etc have visited the campus providing a package of around 3-4 lacks per annum.

College Events

3

There are many technical and non-technical events organized in the college. Techoarena is the national level technical event which is organized every year in the month of March. This event is attended by students from all over Maharashtra and some parts of nearby states. Technovision is the non-technical event organized in the college promoting cultural events. The events are well publicized all over Maharashtra and it witnesses good participation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is according to DTE for government autonomous college. For open overall fees is around 75000 per year. For obc 35000, sc/st around 3500 per year. The fees is quite low as compared to other private colleges. The fees is feasible for an average middle class family.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are numerous scholarships available for the students. Most of the scholarship are for sc/st students. There are certain form fillings and requirements of marks and income for that.

Campus Life

3

The gender ratio is quite decent in a college of about 60:40. Farewells, freshers party, trips are organized in the campus for students. Student organizations are not that indulged in politics or topics of race, religion. Everyone is quite open-minded about these approaches and not such diversity is maintained on a college campus. Moreover, our college has 0% ragging in the campus as well as in a hostel.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility is good considering the fact that only two students would be allocated in one room with the separate chair, table, cupboard, cot. The fees are also very low considering everything it costs about 18000 per year including mess. Mess food is average not that good. There is the number of hostel seats in the first year and due to limited seats, most of the students rent a room near to college. The hostel allocation is based on the marks of the previous semester.

Alumni/Alumna

Talking about the seniors, then they are very helpful. They treat us very generously and always ready to clear any query. Alumni network is also quiet strong in the campus

Exam Structure

For exam structure I would say that the internal semester exams are well designed and are on suitable dates. I would say that the end semester exams are quite extended. If talking about the labs then they are well designed and maintained but sometimes lacks basic practical requirements.

Admission

I searched for last year's cutoff in different government colleges. I got my result in june. Cap round process was about to start. I already prepared my list for the desired colleges and this college was in a decent position. In cap round 1, I was awarded the Entc branch in this college.

Faculty

3

The faculty in the college is above average. I am quite satisfied with the accessibility to faculty and their helpful nature towards the students in every aspect of their life. The teachers provide suitable notes for the subject. Interactive question and answer sessions are most likely to be observed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
