IIT Bombay Overview.

I choose the course because i was getting this college and this course at my rank of jee advanced (3043) . The faculty student ratio is 1:30 at iit bombay. The faculties here are quite highly qualified also the the way of presentation of slide in the class and creative way of teaching helps a lot. The schedule for term exams are quite flexible and timed well. It is average rated that the difficulty of exams is medium.

Various comapnies visit the campus for placements of students from various departments . Also the CGPA of 6+ is generally suffice for sitting for placemnets of 95 percent companies also many companies are not department specific for placements.

The students become eliguble for placemnets from 7 th semester sometimes 6 th semester itself. Various big companies such as amazon ,google ,infosys TATA provide placemnets in the campus. The highest is generally from cse department which goes around 2-3 crore per annum. The lowest base package is about 10-12 lakhs per annum. About 80 percent of stidents are placed which is quite a good ratio. My plans after getting degree are to go for ms or phd for further studies .

The fees of iit bombay is incresing by some small amount each and every year but is still affordable relative to other institutions (private). The scholarship programs are very well designed for whom it can be accessible. Also the price u pay is worth the package with which u passout with

The teachfest and the biggest asia cultural fest mood indigo and are conducted in december. The books are generally not required as the slides provided by professors is enough for clearing the exams.the classrooms are air conditioned and also the sports amenties are quite good especially the atheltic ground and swimming pools. The night clubs of iit bombay are famous around the country and also the independent student run bodies are accessible easily

The rooms are average of iit bombay due to the size of rooms is little small but the external facilities such as cleaning of rooms corridors and washrooms is regular. The price for hostel and mess is quite affordable and the mess food quality is also good. The menu is also versatile providing a lots of variety. The rooms are also provided with all facilites such as tables chaira beds and double accomodation. The rooms are avialable near iit bombay such as the oxford hotel and many more.also the guest rooms are avialable for accomodation of relatives and friends at minimal cost.

The admission process was theough josaa for the iits. I gave both the jee mains attempts and also the jee attempt to qualify the cutoff for the admission in jee. The cutoff for jee advanced exam varies for each and every year. This year as the paper was easy the paper was quite high and also the paper was lengthy. I didnt avail any reservation benefits as i was from general category. After the results were out for jee advanced the next day the process of admission started and the josaa counselling started . The josaa application is quite easy and the schedule is released quite earlier. The admission process goes on for a complete month or more sometimes and also is quite simple. At the end of admission process finally the physical reporting takes place at the institute to which u admit . The documentation process for the same is also not so complecated and is released by josaa as well as the institute to which you are admitted . Also the admission process is on websites .
