Likes

The teachers are the plus point of this college
They provide atmosphere like jadavpur university
The campus life is great and the canteen also

Dislikes

The labs are not well equipped with modern machies
The class timings are very much strict from 10 am
The wifi speed is very slow in the ground floor

Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers are really good and they teach us very easy way so that an average student also can understand very difficult problems. The boys and girls ratio is 2:1. The semester exams are very easy to pass if you study regularly but many students also get supplies in these exams.

About 60% of students get placements through our campus interviews with an average salary of 35k/month which goes up to 50k/month for some cases. Some students opted for higher studies. The mass recruiters are LNT, Sapurji, MN Junction, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

As a government college, the fees are very nominal and about 3500 per year. Though there are many government scholarships are there for needy students like Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship, GD Birla scholarship, etc. The college also provides jobs from companies like LNT, Sapurji, etc. with a stipend of 35k per month on average. About 60% of students get placements.

Campus Life

The college infrastructures are very good and the teachers are helpful. There is a library with tons of books which helps us to gain our knowledge. The classrooms are neat and clean. There are wifi in the college for students. The tech fest happens in February month named METAMORPHOSIS.

Admission

The admission process was very smooth. I got admitted through the JEXPO exam which was conducted by the West Bengal govt. The application fee was about 500 rs. It was released after the Madhyamik Examination in West Bengal. After the exam rank was declared and the counseling process conducted you chose your preferred colleges. I am from a general caste so I don't get any reservation facility.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Overall a good college with best placement

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in the final year of the diploma course. Most companies like Wipro TCS visit our college. The average package is 5 lahks and 90 percent of students got placed in every branch.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

After the 5th Semester apparently companies start interviewing students. I am going through campusing right now. I have been selected by Aurora for further interviewing. Highest package is of Jindal around 17k and average package is 11k with accommodations. 85-90% students get placement. I am planning for higher study completing B.tech after getting the degree.

From 5th semester students are eligible for campusing. Badve autotech pvt ltd. A1 fence products pvt. Ltd. Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

Good opportunities of studies
