Course Curriculum Overview

My course was electrical engineering in the diploma year 2020-23. Our most 60 out of 40 brilliant. Our faculty are very good. For this reason, our college top 10th rank our state. But my last year's course time was very short. 5th & 6th semesters completed within 6 months. Due to the 2020 COVID delay maintain the annual season.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 900 per year

Placement Experience

Our college provided better placement. Our electrical department all wiling student are placed. Also, I am placed with a Popular MNC company with my package 3LPA. In our college 300 out of 220 students are placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our govt college Purulia Polytechnic College fees are very few compared to other private colleges. Per year RS 900 per annually. Here available scholarships are National, SVMCM(West Bengal), and Oasis(only for West Bengal).

Campus Life

Our Diploma college life very wonders full & enjoy. Annual organized program - Freshers, farewell & a social function organized. Present 1 big library available Technical book. One student was allowed 2 books. Tech feast organized -- robo race, robo fight, circuit design, quiz, sports, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are average. Room & electricity charged RS 200+ food depending on the type of food and session. Meal quality average. Registration hostel after college admission notice published for a hostel. Then apply some days after the hostel list is published ( list prepared according to home to college distance ).

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

Eligibility 10th passed min 60%, St/SC/OBC 55%. Apply entrance exam - JEXPO. Fees RS 500. Now admission process is very good. However, the document verification process is long time time-consuming. Our college must improve hostel capacity.

I don't know about any other college but my college have industry orient syllabus. And the teachers were highly qualified and experienced. They don't use the conventional way of theaching. They believe in practical knowledge. The deficulty level slightly increases per exam. 45min alloted for every internal exam..

Placement Experience:

After passing 4th semester L&T, TATA, NIPPON STEEL, JSL, JSW, BRAVO etc Highest package provided is around 8-10 LPA and average package provided is around 4 LPA. Usually and L&T and JSL provides high packages Almost 70-80% of students I'm going to take admission in a BTECH college for persuing Bachelor in Engineering degree

From final year, the companies start visiting our campus for placements, Very few companies arrives and with an average package of 2 Lakhs per annum in our college. The placement rate is overall very low and there is a room for improvement in this.

I belong a lower middle class family so I knew that it is diploma Engineering which is held by jexpo entrenced exam that is quietly easy for me to qualify a govt college. In daily study base i undergoes with my study. Teaching method of my college teacher are quite good but management system of this diploma are very bad.

I didn't apply for other colleges because I was confident enough that I'll get here admission surely. Afterall Purulia Polytechnic is one of the best institutions in the field of diploma engineering in west bengal. No, I didn't Students get admission in the 1st year by securing certain ranks in JEXPO and for lateral entry in 2nd year is by VOCLET exam. Best Diploma college in west bengal

Eligibility of the course is you the to complete your 10 standards from any board. First, you have to fill out the online form from the official website of wbscte, application fee is around 200/-.then you have to take the entrance examination and qualify. after that west Bengal board of technical education will release the counselling of seats then you have to choose the stream you want, and all seats are fulfiled rank-wise.
