I chose mechanical engineering as I'm very fond of 12th physics and getting a good college for that. The curriculum here is pretty good helping with all main entrance tests and competitive examinations. The young faculty is quite friendly as well as experienced. Faculty students ratio is also good with a class strength of 50 students in a class. Professors make sure that every student understands everything while our own practice is very much required. The exams test the understanding and grip on the subject and are quite difficult. Scoring food marks requires prior study and excellent understanding, grading policy also varies helping students get good grades.

There are many internship opportunities that give opportunities and pay well. Companies start visiting in 5th semester for internships and then provide ppo and FTE to the same students. One has to crack the exams and interviews along with the whole process to get selected.

Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester when companies start visiting the campus, the placement cell is very strict and active about the processes and policies but one has to prepare and be ready for getting placed.

The fee structure is as suggested by the central government norms and fee waiver is available for students with lesser family income, scholarships are also available based on income which greatly helps students from different backgrounds.

The campus life is the best you can expect, at college in Kerela one can explore many places in and around. The fests are something to boast about with lavish shows and many events to participate in highlighted in national circuits. Classrooms are above average on the whole and very good in the first year. The exposure here is second to none as you can participate and take part in many student clubs and activities.

The first year hostels are a bit old but after that, the hostels provided are very good and have all the needs fulfilled but still a little smaller. First-year rooms which were for 3 occupants are given to 4 students instead so we have to adjust the menu is very good but hostel food is hostel food indeed.

Admission is through Josaa itself, cutoffs can be seen on the website. The admission process is quite simple but a bit time-consuming. We'll have to submit the original certificates applicable, it takes close to 3hrs and there will be help wherever needed.
