I choose SVC over other colleges as getting into Delhi University is itself is very difficult. Over lakhs of students apply but only a few of them get selected as DU provides the exposure and real life experience over any other private university. I live in PG and my college is just a few minutes away from it like just 5 mins so i save the travel expenses as well. I didn't get any rejection from any college. DU is my only focus and i knew that i will make to DU but i have applied the my state university as my back. I got venky in my 1st allotment and its a very high raking college so knew that its the only college for me. I didn't go for upgrade because i got very bad feedback for Ramjas college so i decided to stay in SVC only. Eligibility: 12th pass with good CUET score(700+) for B com students CUET is the only exams that Delhi University accepts. So scoring above 650+ is enough to get into DU. The process of admission is very tome consuming as first you have to fill the CUET form and then register into CSAS portal which is the gateway to get into DU and after the aplliaction you will get your 1st allotment with a month. Application process was not very complicated but in fact it was pretty decent. Students under NEP were admitted on the basis of CUET Scores. Cut off for this course and college was around 710/800 in cuet which is common university entrance test. But why I choose Venkateshwara College is reputation, faculty, campus and environment, et cetera. Colleges I applied to: 1. Sri Venkateswara College(Admitted) 2. Gargi College (in molecular Biology, I was admitted but cancelled my admission from there) 3. Hansraj College (Admitted in life sciences but wanted an honours subject to study specifics, hence Venky!) I did not get rejected from a college, but yes, from medical school because that was what I was applying for before, but NEET scores got me there! I chose Sri Venkateswara College because: 1. The best biochemistry department in the country. 2. The Academic Environment here is really good because of faculty support, active societies and exposure. 3. The course is research-focused and highly competent.
