Likes

The Ambience is very good and our college is so beautiful and has attractive surroundings
The educational system is very nice and they are useful for us
They are other extra curricular activities and sports competitions are good

Dislikes

We have language problem with faculty some faculty are teaching in their own mother language
Food is not good. we took time to adjust here but still we are unable to eat
The college is far from the city it is in outskirts

Course Curriculum Overview

I like maths so I took mathematics and computing.the ratio is 1:15 approximately.the faculty are nice and they have higher qualification.exams are difficult and not that much difficult to pass.questions are innovative and we have to think in different ways to solve them

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 82450 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for 1st year is eighty two thousand four hundred and fifty rupees. I am in Ews category so I got fee waiver. There are plenty of opportunities from 3rd year in our college like internships and so on . At present as I am a fresher there are no recruitments for us

Campus Life

Recently Techniche fest had happened and Alcheringa , Udgham are about to be happen . Our library has a plenty of books to study and to be entertained also. And a pleasant environment is present in both the Library and classrooms to study . Sports are nice and maximum all types of sports are available. Inter IIT sports championship is conducted. NCC and NSS clubs are also there in our college

Hostel Facilities

Our hostel is nice and the surroundings are also very clean. In our room there are many facilities like wifi and in our hostel pantry room is available and for entertainment purpose TV room is also available.The food is nice as it is good for health and taste is not bad . The registration process for hostel is done in our college while joining

Hostel Fee: INR 50200 per year

Admission

For admission, I have written Jee exam Mains and Advanced.The primary qualification for this exam is tenth classand inter marks.The applications are filled in the online website names jossa.the application fee is 200. The dates are before one month. Mains contains 2 exams with gap of 3 months. They both are in same model.Finally they take best of them and give us rank. This is qualifier of Advanced exam.Advanced exam is nice and it contains many types of questions.this judges the actual intelligence of student.this exam has reservation benifits in filling the seats for colleges.I have Ews category.The improvent in the admission process that I need is it is too long process if it is short it would be nice.

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Placement Experience:

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement student are eligible from 7th sem and for internship whole 3rd year 5th to 6th sem. Highest package till now is 34 lpa i guess in intuit .and lowest 6lpa.I am totally focus into doing job rsther than doing higher studies .Iam placed at Deloitte and i am happy.till now 50 percent students of civil got plsced 80 percent Cse

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
