Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in Information Technology. The student-to-faculty ratio is 1:12. Mostly all faculty members hold a doctorate. The examination process consists of minors that take place two times in a semester and a major. Minors are of 30 marks and majors are of 50 marks with 20 marks internal.
Internships Opportunities
Gemini Solutions, Kickdrum, Dario, and Mylo are the companies that offer an internship with a full-time offer. The internship is provided from January to June in the 7th semester. We also get a stipend of around 15 to 25k in this period.
Placement Experience
From 7 sem they are eligible for campus placements. Salescode.ai and Hyundai visited but did not give any offers. The highest package on campus is 16lpa given by Kickdrum. For 2023, almost all students of CSE, IT, and ECE were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is almost an increase in fees by 10% every year we have to pay a fee of 5500 extra for extracurricular activities. There is a merit-cum scholarship that is given to students having a yearly income of less than 2.5lpa.
Campus Life
The annual fest of UIET is Goonj which takes place in the month of March and February. There are two libraries one is of our department and the other is of the University. All sports facilities are present on the campus.
Admission
Eligibility for the course is a minimum 60% mark in 12 and a valid JEE score. A rank of around 50% will fetch you a seat in the Information Technology Branch. For the application form, we have to fill out the form of JAC Chandigarh. I haven't availed any reservation for taking admission into this college.
