Likes

I liked the college faculty, campus and teachers and their teaching methods.
I liked the college Union, and every members relations and companionship towards each other.
I liked how every students are given proper opportunities to show their tallents in not only studies but also in every sports.

Dislikes

There is nothing much I disliked, but our classes are conducted on the 4th floor so it's quite difficult for many students.
Mainly in the summer time all the students get congusted.
Overall it's good, but during admission time I faced little bit problem with the college website.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it is for 3 years and will help me to prepare for the CAT examination. The college faculty is really good. The teaching methods are good too and the teachers are also very supportive. The exams are taken every 6 months per semester and the exams can be passed in a soothing way if we study well.

Internships Opportunities

As I have already mentioned I got a call from the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Camac Street. We attended a seminar there about the Stock Exchange and how it works in a very detailed manner. I also got a call from the Bombay Stock Exchange for an Internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 3430rupees per semester i.e. per 6 months. We have been called from BSE Camac Street, we also attended a seminar there where we got know about Stock Market and their workings in a very detailed manner.

Campus Life

The annual fest has not been conducted yet but the Teachers Day fest was conducted a few days ago. Nearly every book is available in our college library. The classrooms are really good with proper seating capacity for nearly 100-150 students. We have been given numerous opportunities to participate in nearly every sport and extra curricular activity conducted in our college. We have the social group of our College Union Group, TMCP Unit.

Admission

The eligibility of the course was to score a minimum of 50% in ISC. The Application can be found on the official website of Heramba Chandra College with the help of the Application Form Number. I am of the SC category but didn't avail of any benefits of that. No, the admission process is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

My point of view of HCC( Heramba Chandra College)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Our college known for internship program

Placement Experience:

In our college generally students get placement before the last semester exam. Lot of companies visits our college and give many placement offer opportunities to the students. The highest package was 6 - 7 LPA and on average it generally ranging from 2 to 3 LPA. About 60 to 70 percent students gets a different types of offer from different companies who visited our college, my plan is also to get a good and a decent package from our College

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 5th semester. A few companies like TCS visit our college every year. The average package offered is around 100000 PA I want to go for higher studies after the degree but I want some real life work experience too.
