What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is amazing, growing rap and hip-hop culture, also the campus life is good and we have enough time to do something creative and new.
The clubs here are organising many events time by time which doesn't let the flow slow throughout the year.
Also the faculties are quite innovative and interactive towards students.

Dislikes

Irrgurality in schedule made by institute, some days are too much free where as some are very hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was quite interested in computer science and I took the course thinking of upgrading my branch. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:12, particularly in my branch. All the faculty members are Ph.D. graduates and are at least assistant professors. Term exams are conducted every 2.5 months. There are two-semester exams mid-sem and end-sem.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are enough Internship opportunities in the institute for students in 3rd year as well as for students in 2nd year. Many students go out for internships every year and are then placed well. The students who go for internship are stipend from 10 to 20 thousand per month and have a certificate for their internship.

Placement Experience

From are good as concerned the NIRF ranking of the college. usually, students are eligible on and after 7th semester. A lot of companies visited and this year the overall placement % percentage was more the 80. The highest offer made was 45lpa from Amazon and the average package this year was 8.5lpa. I am planning to get placed after getting a degree in any IT sector.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is relevant and also we get scholarships for the institute from the college itself. I haven't taken any placement or internship yet also I haven't applied for any scholarship from college as I have applied from external sources earlier only.

Campus Life

The campus life is good. There are many clubs and we come across many club events throughout the year. And also we have our annual fest called Vulcanzy which is usually held in late February. We have a central library having books for each and every individual according to their interests. We have an outdoor and indoor sports complex and the indoor sports complex also includes GYM which is open for all also throughout the year we have internet and intramural competitions in the campus.

Admission

Through JEE MAINS and after that through JOSAA and CSAB councelling I managed to get into the institute. The rest of the process is held at the institute only. For eligibility of the course you should have got above 90 percentile in JEE MAINS for OBC category.

Rather than this college I also applied for other colleges nit's in the counseling I got this college because of my rank.i also choose this college because it has good placement percentage and average package.and one more reason is I am a native of Andhra Pradesh so this college will be some near also and the food will be good. College life at NIT-AP

I liked this college because studying at a national institute is every student's dream. It is not that much easy. Particularly, we can't compare these national institutes with other colleges as they are highly prestigious. The main reason why I have chosen this college, we (Andhra) people have 50% reserved seats in the college. Eligibility is students should have to clear their jee mains exam with the best percentile to secure their dream branch. The cut-off will be changed every year.
