- Very hectic schedule, all day classes very few breaks and very few amount of holidays
- The location of the college as our college is in the outskirts so there is very few services available near the college hence we have to travel a lot and the cost of travel is very high here
- The quality of hostels are not up to the mark as the buildings are very old and the mess food is also not up to the mark
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest in automobiles my father is also a mechanical engineer and it gives me a good insight into this field. The faculty of my college is very good every department has experienced and expert professors and the student ratio isb1:4 like the girls are lesser in number than the boys. All the faculty are highly qualified the professors and assistant professors have all the master's and Ph.D. degrees with them and their teaching methods are quite impressive and they are very interactive. The exams are held 3 times in a sem having 2 mid send and one end-sem exam the mid sems are quite tough as compared to the end sem the end sem exam is of 3 hours while the mid sems are 50 min each subject and the end sems very much time is given for preparation while during mid sems that much time is not given and the papers are used to be done in 3 consecutive days. In mid sems the syllabus is short and the difficulty level is quite high and hard.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure varies according to the category of the student for a general student the sem fee is about 78k while it differs according to the category the student avails of. Yes, there are many opportunities for scholarships like having a good CG and there are some exams also that can give u scholarships. if we talk about financial assistance one can have an educational loan from the bank as it is a government college so it is quite easy to get loan from any bank for studying purposes. The average cost for studying in this college for a general student is about 75k per sem and approx 2 lakh rupees per year including all other expenses. While it takes 8-9 lakhs to complete the whole degree. As compared to other colleges it is quite affordable and good for completing the Btech degree here with absolute ease and comfort. There are no campus jobs here You can't do any part-time jobs one can only focus and studies but you can do some extra work regarding skills that can help learn.
Campus Life
Life at campus is quite good but sometimes it's boring on our regular busy days day classes have a hard impact on our daily routine and make the schedule hectic while sometimes on weekends and sometimes on weekdays we also enjoy ourselves a lot. Confluence is the annual fest and it happens in the month of October every year while Techspardha is the technical fest and it happens in the month of January or February every year. Book banks are there for the books. Whatever book you want to read and study you can take it from the book bank. You can also take the book from the book bank and read it in the library and return it at the moment. The classrooms are quite comfortable and fully air-conditioned. If we talk about sports, all kinds of sports are used to be played here with a proper team and management. Many workshops are used to help with extracurricular activities for skill enhancement. There are some social groups of our college like MAD NSS and Sikskha you can check on.
Admission
Jee mains is the criteria for admission. As I'm a general student there is no reservation for me but there are reservations for obc sc st students. Not everything is good in admission. Sometimes the process is slow here, All things are good in college.
