Course Curriculum Overview

Understanding economics prepares you to be a better, more active participant in the economy – as both a consumer and producer. It also helps you better understand government policy decisions. That's why I took this course. Faculty : student ratio = 4 : 20 Faculty qualification : Every professor is very well qualified.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no option regarding opportunity of scholarship, financial assistance or campus jobs . But off campus anyone will get their intership on the basis of their skill. Many students are doing that .

Annual fest : Nexus ..one of the best fest all over the Calcutta University.. duration: 4 days .. Library : Excellent library. One of the oldest library in cu . Sports : outdoor : cricket, football, badminton.. Indoor : carrom, Ludo, table tennis ????..

Eligibility : 12 th pass from any board with more than 60 % . Reservation Benefits : special benefits for students belongs to Christian minority. Besides that sc, st, OBC quota are also available there. As such there is no need for any improvement so let it continue as it is

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

Students get placement offers in the first year of M.Stat. In general, however, most students prefer to go abroad for higher studies. Students who sit for placements mostly get placed in Finance and Analytics companies, typically in Business Analyst, Risk Analyst and other roles. ISI has a 100% placement record for B.Stat- M.Stat students. Companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., JP Morgan & Chase, Amazon, etc. come for placements. Last year, the highest package offered was 56 lpa with the package being 28 lpa. M.Tech CS had the highest overall package at 89 lpa.
